**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Squidward Sports.

I thought this was NT… not Bikini Bottom talk.
Just keep tuning in, eventually you will see the light.

Asking for a friend whose first name is Noble..... after seeing 2 preseason games with Hayes playing about 20 min per, you think he a better or worse fit for this team than Damian Jones and Thomas Bryant?

What light? 😂 Have I been bad-mouthing Hayes in this thread or are you seeing what you want to see again buddy?

Of course.

Like clockwork

Stop lyin to yourselves 😂

He can shoot too, y'all just don't know yet that he wet

Let's get a little more nitpicky with Axtion Jaxson cause a champion like Kobe once said it's all about the DETAILS

Who still not ready for the Hayemaker?
😂

That's all good, but not even the best part. Show the highlights of him out of the perimeter defending. He's actually been really solid switching these last two games and in the extended minutes against BRK. We knew he was a lob threat, but he's looking Chris Bosh like in the pnr on switches. Major versatility in these first two games.

Like I said before, if he's going to hit a three here and there and defend on the perimeter, he's going to play. His ability to get off the floor on those lobs seems to translate well into staying in front of guys and recovering. How much he plays remains to be seen. But, he seems to have a real good attitude about it. I mean he didn't do much in NOP, so that actually bodes well for him just putting the work in and being patient.

I must've mistaken you for having said Hayes is no better than Jones then. Myyyyy bad amigo

Maybe there was some Hayes related sarcasm coming from you in the past, so tell me what you really think about Hayes now that you seen a little of what he can do on this team

Sarcasm? From grittyman grittyman ?! Naaaaah. You definitely misremembering.

Don't think I've ever said anything sarcastic about Hayes… at least that I remember. I'm sure I've said some sarcastic things about you tho my man. Let me check the archives just to make sure!

Hayes is probably an upgrade from Damian Jones.

Seriously though… What does the team need him to do besides run, jump and dunk for 10-15 minutes a game?

It’s an immediate upgrade to me regardless because it eliminates the Lebron/Rui at the 5 minutes

We’ll see what happens with Hayes and Cam, but if anything there’s two young athletic players (3 if you believe in Max) that should help with the grind of the regular season. A lot of people hated the Lonnie Walker signing last year because of whatever reason but his athleticism really stood out on that roster.

It’s preseason but overall he’s doing the things I thought he was capable of doing. Providing some length and athleticism off the bench, relieving AD periodically from SOME center duties... what more can you ask for?

All true. But there definitely has to be a higher expectation from Jaxson when you're a #8 overall pick. He has to impact the game and impact the team much more consistently than he did in NO if the Lakers want to add the missing dimension and help them win a chip.

JH has the tools to be a legit starting center on this team, if Darvin wants to go 2-Big cause he makes AD a greater version of himself. Dude a perfect fit imo playing alongside DLo, Reaves, and James ntm.
