**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Sure. I’ll bite.

If DLo is as bad as some of you think he is. Then trade him. But if he truly is that bad, then you will hate the return you get even more.
And if you trade DLo, you might as well trade AR too.
Because if DLo doesn’t get it done as the primary facilitator. AR doesn’t either. It’s also not particularly close in the facilitation aspect. And AR’s scorer will almost unquestionably go down in the DLo role.
And if you move DLo, you might as well move AR, and if you move AR then the Lakers should move to the CP’s philosophy of they should trade every player on the team and tear it down to 0.

DLo’s lack of aggressiveness the last two weeks has been bad. Maybe it’s the quick hook. Maybe it’s the trade rumors. Maybe it’s the personnel flaws they have. Maybe it’s him. He has to call his own number. And not just be a paper pusher point guard.
Absolutely unacceptable to have 2 points.

Lakers still were better with him on the floor tonight with 2 points than they were when he was off.
30-47 when he came back in his second run.
70-76 when he left in the third (got within 2)
89-101 when he came back in for his third stretch.
By the time he came in, it was as close to over as it could have been. And when he went out for a defensive replacement, the team didn’t fair better.

The team goes as far as he plays. Whether that’s a good omen or bad omen that’s up to opinion.
But the Lakers issues are way bigger than whatever your opinion is on D’Angelo Russell.

That's a big wall o text for someone who scored 2 points. D'Lo is part of the problem 100% that can't be defended he's just out there not actively doing a damn thing.

As is Reaves. As is AD. As is Ham. As is Cam. As is Rui. As is Hayes. As is Wood. As is Prince. As is Vando.

Only person who escapes it is LeBron because he’s 87 years old.

I’ll quote the last part again.
But the Lakers issues are way bigger than whatever your opinion is on D’Angelo Russell.

This team aint winning games unless either Bron or AD scores 35+. At this point, might as well rest one or the other during hard matchups and play both on winnable games (unlike the SAS series).
