**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I know they won’t, but please call up and play Castleton tonight. He’s the best 5 we have if ad is out.

AD out? Piece of cake.

We know what time it is...

I can see Ham getting fired and replaced by a cheap interim (Handy) for this season. No way the Buss fam pays two coaches multi millions at the same time.

Hayes isn't even an NBA player at this point, he's a fringe G-leaguer
I don't see it. Yet.

Ham just doesn't know how to utilize him and clearly Ham has no ability or know-how in developing young big men

I need to see how Hayes performs and how he is used with a much better coaching staff.

They not gonna fire ham just for the fact that they would be paying 2 coaches.

And honestly no matter what stupid things we feel he does, the roster is and always has been the issue.

AR hasn't made that jump to 3rd guy and has been getting cookt this year. Vando/Rui have been injured a large chunk of the season. Gabe Vincent has been Nunn when he was supposed to be DLo insurance. Drafted JHS on the Wiseman model, and he hasn't provided anything either.

Ham has definitely gone off script this year (mainly TP), but it's still roster.

Yeah my biggest gripe is TP.

And I actually believe TP would play better coming off the bench.

I wonder if Rui would be a good starter.

More examples of the ineptitude and embarrassment:

I don't care if we had Giannis, AD, and Bron on the same team, bet ya bottom dollar Ham would still find a way for his team to underachieve.

we were a league worst + - after 1 quarter
probably still are
And they’re probably among the league best in second quarter rating … someone can look that up, not that serious to me.

The Lakers will never be a great first quarter team because their best player is normally going to be pacing himself to have something left in the tank for the second half.

Nah. Of course not.

But it's pretty clear Prince is not producing enough to be a starter...

Rui would probably be a better fit...maybe.
I don’t mind him starting, but now that Vando is back he definitely doesn’t need to be playing 30+ minutes a night… Rui can give you a good offensive punch off the bench, something TP or Vando can’t provide.

TP is actually averaging the same numbers as he was last year.

He is averaging 10 more minutes per game to get the same numbers as he was coming off the bench...

I dunno....

But the roster just isn't good enough.

Is what it is.
