**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

A solid 2-Big Lineup for 40 out of 48 minutes each game is what will allow AD and Bron to win a championship.

It ain’t rocket science, even with “40-year old” Bron playing like most 30 year olds.

Y’all gonna see.

I’ve maintained the same stance since 2020 - this AD-Bron tandem will NEVER win another title unless AD plays next to another true big man the majority of the time. And the coach has to know how to utilize that 2-Big lineup and almost exclusively play Bron and AD at the 3 and the 4, respectively.

First step, sign some capable BIG MEN

He's not '40.'
II have it structured like that grammatically because we have a certain picture in our mind when we say that someone is 40, and it's not what we're seeing from #23 on the Lakers.
Watching him and knowing nothing of his age, no one in their right mind would say 'Why is that 40 year old out there?'
He is who he is, not who we think he is.
#23 is not what is keeping us from a championship, but he's an easy finger to point at, just like coach is... right @CP1708 ? 👀 Easy targets are easy, right?

Highlight reel dunks are amazing. Aside from his great stats, his age is still showing

Look at the load managing and missing games due to an ankle injury where is ankle never actually rolled. He just planted hard and the ankle wobbled. That’s age. He’s still a great player.

The grind of a season and making a deep playoff run and having fresh legs in the finals is not for 40 year olds. Look at last season and how many 3’s he shot in the playoffs (a lot), going 1-7 and 2-7 over and over. that’s fatigue and settling for a deep three instead of attacking. That’s age

I marvel at what he’s doing at 39. But winning a chip is a whole other thing

Lets see what this team is really made of tonight. Preview of the play-in for seeds 9-10. Lets not be foolish into thinking they’ll climb up to the 6 spot

How is pointing out that Lebron’s current level of greatness probably isn’t enough to top the greatness of another younger player who’s in their prime an example of pointing the finger at him?

Using the Nuggets as a perfect example, Lebron and AD (and the others) are good enough to keep it competitive but when the stakes are at the highest Joker and Murray have been able to take their games to a level that LBJ & AD haven’t seem to be able to reach… and that’s okay, it’s sports sometimes the other guy is just going to be better and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Yup it's a combination of Bron being old but moreso on AD not being a #1 guy cause if he was that would change the entire dynamic. And him being the younger guy but not able to be THAT guy it's what's capping the ceiling.

He's basically our version of Jayson Tatum.

Ham says the team needs to cut down on open threes and all I'm seeing is the defense giving up open threes. :lol

Yeah man, Bron is done with Ham.

First four offensive possessions for Dinwiddie, Zero touches

Edit: 7 possessions til he finally touched it

DLo gotta pick up Soda Popinski when the shot goes up. He’s a pest and it feels like he crashes on every shot.

TP can't chase Klay. Might be better off putting Christie on Klay and TP on Paul.

Bron gave him the 10 second dribble between his leg and the side step 3.

Use their size and call timeouts and you win this game. And No fancy shmancy passes and showboating.
