“Benched” to me is more of when a guy doesn’t really play at all.
Austin was removed from the starting lineup, I believe to give him a bigger role with the second unit. Don’t feel like looking this up but I’m pretty sure his overall minutes remained around the same amount… so it wasn’t really this huge demotion that casuals were making it out to be.

Honestly the season playing out this way is good, no delusion of how good this team is, and a honest evaluation of everything can take place. And if there's a teardown of everything nobody can really be mad.
