**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Spencer got a lot of heat here, but he can play. His role on the lakers was to stand in the corner and wait for a touch every 3-4 possessions. Not ideal for any hooper

I don't think he can play anymore. He was awful on the Nets before joining the Lakers.

He was so bad there people thought he was purposely throwing games. Maybe he was, but that doesn't make sense for him. But he marches to the beat of his own drum.

Provided good defense, but what the **** happened to his offense...

To me, he was out of rhythm offensively every game. I routinely saw him run up and down the court and not touch the ball for 5+ possessions. You need to feel the rock, get a rebound, make a pass etc to get some rhythm going

This is true.

But also he’s on a team with Bron, AD, DLo, Austin, etc.

If he’s getting the ball a lot then something is wrong with the hierarchy on the floor… I prefer to have role players around AD/Bron who are going to play off the ball next to those two as opposed to surrounding them with players who need the ball to be effective.

Thanks to ham ******* with his minutes/role this was Rui Hachamura all last season.

I’m just happy to be able to watch some good basketball in the summer time… and also to see my two favorite players from my favorite team perform at the highest level while representing for our country.

Gotta separate the two so I can enjoy this Team USA run… but since it’s been brought up I disagree w/ guys like Austin Rivers who say the Lakers are close. If a championship team in the playoffs might be 8-9 deep, then the Lakers are 5-6 players away. Because it’s too hard to win at the highest level with specialists in the postseason…

Bron is an amazing player. So is AD

But we can’t win with them anymore because of the lack of ability to put a good roster around them

Since they’re so good, we should be able to get at least 5 first round picks for each, right? Right?
