**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I like Olivari’s story… but honestly imo this isn’t what’s going to get him in the league.

Show me that you can run an offense, defend and make shots in that order. Lakers don’t need another guard to come off the bench and try to cook…that’s what DLo is for lmao

I’m fine running with him over Gabe.

He just needs to not be a cone on D

If his offensive skills were good enough to overcome his weaknesses I think he’d be in the league already. But they haven’t, and he should be down there showing that he has the ability to do those other things.

Doubt anyone has watched a Laker game this season and thought to themselves man what this team really needs is another guard who can shoot it but can’t defend.

He didn't play much in SL, but he looked adequate on defense during pre-season. But I'm not really clamoring for him right now or this season. Maybe next season.

Since it's the second night of a back to back, wonder if JJ expands the rotation to 10. Especially with Reddish gimpy.

Been debating on whether or not to check out a South Bay game in person, if I do that will be one of the things I’ll be looking for.

Honestly if Gabe was shooting around 33% from three while giving decent defense I don’t think I’d really have any complaint about him on court… of course factoring in his salary for that level of production is another story but that’s more of an issue with Pelinka.

Somehow, only down 10 points.

I expect them to run away in the second half, but that was an annoying first half performance.

Having watched a lot of Nets.

Knecht is going to be a more athletic Joe Harris

(That's really good btw).

Yep that was my comp for him.

*Hand shake*

But the fact they can run sets for him already is GREAT

Also would explain why he and DLo play well together. That was the first thing that started turning around DLo on the Nets was having Joe on the floor with him.
