I mean Dwight was hitting like 80% of his FTs in practices.
It means nothing. Just because it's a mechanics issue and he's either incapable (which could be legitimate reasons) or unwilling to change it.

I think if the Lakers are trading away Rui, they gotta get back a center that can rebound and score unless they're also getting a scoring guard.
It's been hard enough getting to score, can't imagine if the team trades Rui for just a defensive center.

Here's my crack at it:
Getting a FRP while trading away Vando was probably a fantasy, but getting back a SRP and filling in the center need is good enough. Bulls get to move ~10 spots up in the draft to participate in the trade. Suns get off Nurkic, Vando might help and get a SRP for their troubles.

DFS/Reddish/Phillips
Christie/Knecht/Bronny
AR/Vincent/Shake
Two open roster spots. I would elevate Koloko to the standard roster. Then see what Vincent/Rui and picks could fetch.

Pelinka would then have to find a taker for Rui and get in return a perimeter scorer.
But if all we end up with is Nurk and we keep Rui, then the team is not really improving enough to be able to compete with BOS, CLE, and OKC. All Rob would be doing is finding someone to guard Jokic for 12 minutes just to hope to get past DEN.
