anyone else feel me on this?
i got a few friends who's spanish SUCKS
but at least it SUCKS and they TRY.
and im cool with that... mines not PERFECT either.

a few reasons on WHY they MAY not speak spanish.

1.your mixed (i can understand)
2.your 3rd generation or something (understandable i guess)
3.you CHOOSE not too (not cool)
4.your parents are americanized (weak)

anyways,im super light skinned but i'm cuban/mexican.
people confuse me for a white guy everytime they meet me.
but both my parents were immigrants so
i had NO choice BUT to learn spanish.

it's just annoying because i just see it more and more everyday
and it just seems like a lack of culture.
i understand if YOU werent taught or it wasnt spoken in your house,
but then that just makes your PARENTS lames.

lol let the flames begin.

historia chula hermano!!!

Im actually the complete opposite of you im a cuban that gets confused for a light black dude but yea I feel you it sucks in NYC everybody speaks it but once Icame to Florida alot of the Rican chicks out here act white and dont speak spanish at all.

9 times out of 10 it wasn't their language originally anyway so I don't see the big deal.

heres something interesting to think about, im in the 2nd generation and ive learned how to speak thai fluently but now i ponder whether ill be able to passthe language down to the next generation...

anybody plan to teach there future kid(s) your native language?

(I was born in cali but lived a few years in thailand with my grandma growing up so i was thinking about doing the same for my children)

thanks

i speak spanish but i have a accent but i understand it but there are people who are latinos and dont speak it at all so i guess im good
