Exactly what midi keyboard are you trying to run through to Reason? You sound card is going to be your issue though, you need a dedicated AudioInterface to get rid of latency forreal. Otherwise ASIO is going to be the best option. But I keep hearing Reason doesn't support it. Im going to load upReason when I get home to find a work around.

of course fool... anybody using FL on widnows 7 is using ASIO4All...
I'm having issues, I get's no audio, think its the laptops sound drivers not playing right with it.

You have to Map the ASIO settings to support earphones only, then pre-out through your AUX

HEY NT PRODUCERS.......
my friend is a rookie producer and i dont know much about producing so i cant really help him get to the next level. He's using a demo of fruity loops and he's only been doing this about 3 weeks. He just learned how to use samples about 2 weeks ago. His drums seem ok to me but, his melodies need work. I was wondering if he would be better off buying the whole FL studios. Is there a way he can download more sounds? Are there any tips u can give him so his samples wont be so repetitive. Anytips that would help him get to the next level of the craft would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

he can buy FL studio off me for a discounted price if he would like to...I can also include sounds for days (VSTs)...

is there a way to sample unchopped parts of a song in reason? i know you can chop it up and sample in dr. rex but i'm wondering if there is somethign where you can just have a longer sample..

Quick question just made a few beats on my dads keyboard how do i get the files to work on the pc as there in svq format?

how much u talkin
depends on what all he needs... im reasonable... PM me

*this is what i was talkin bout in the other thread (no point in havin it when we got the sticky)...

i didnt mean to come off like an ad... lol

he's gonna need some drums, synths, organic instruments, percussion, etc...

all of which can be found in VSTs...

some VSTs have drums but most people use wave files... there's plenty of sites that sell kits and all that...

as far as his beats i listened to the first one... he just needs to keep working and get some better sounds...

does he use a midi controller?

what kind of keyboard is it (brand and model) and what program do u use on the pc? also what exactly are u trying to do?

Well I've just started making/trying to make beats my dad recently bought a Roland g which does everything I need it to. Using the stock very basic editing with sequencer disk it came with, any suggestions on another one ? The file format on the keyboard it svq and when I try to put it onto the editing tool it doesn't recognise the format to even load it onto it?
All help would be much appreciated.
