Let's Turn This Post Into " Upcoming/Recommend A Scary Movie " Thread.

Could we like vote/choose on a movie to watch and discuss it?

And Now The Screaming Starts (1973)

maxresdefault.jpg

...is a great obscure horror film in the Hammer Horror vein. Features a few stars including
Peter Cushing who a lot of younger folks would recognize from Star Wars.

If you're looking for something old school, creepy but not boring that will broaden your horror film knowledge...check it out!

Make sure to watch the un-edited version though!

It used to be part of the TCM or Bravo or whatever October Horror line-up but they
would show the edited version. I think the only difference is one scene with brief nudity
and little extra blood.

To this day, I don't completely understand this movie. That's partly why it can make for a pretty unsettling watch lol. Reggie always falls for the "Tall Man" yambs in each sequel. I just watched "Oblivion" last week. It was aight. Didn't hear good things about the last one.

Ya, I only suggest the first one...kind of like Jaws...and I only really like the first Nightmare On Elm Street.

Something about shooting it like they did in the 70s compared to the late 80s on. The surrealness was lost in the sequels.

List so far for this month. Thinking of watching a scary movie every other night and on my days off watch a 1 or 2

Last night for my first viewing I watched Deliver Us From Evil 2014

In DELIVER US FROM EVIL, New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. Based upon the book, which details Sarchie's bone-chilling real-life cases.

2/5 wasn't scary at all. Film was shot well and the acting was good.
