It absolutely is fair... We got guys in here and elsewhere talking about Russell's attitude, his work ethic, he's a diva, and irrelevant **** like his eyebrows being cut. "We should have taken Okafor, look at Russell, diva, doesn't care, is immature."

Yet the guy we were supposed to draft, who isn't actually playing much better than Russell, if we want to look at basketball in you know, both sides of the ball. Is out here getting a gun pulled on him in October.. Doesn't learn his lesson and gets into another fight all over a heckler, after 3 weeks ago recklessly driving 40 mph over the speed limit.

So yes, it absolutely is fair.

As for the second part, about I'd lose my mind on the 76ers.. That's not losing your mind, that's being a ******* idiot. You would think after having a gun pulled on you, you'd be smart enough to learning your lesson. But nah, he doesn't. And if you think I'd be like Okafor as well, you don't know me well. I'm very disciplined in the things I do and don't do. I don't go to clubs, none of that. I don't drink. Didn't do any of it at 18, didn't do it at 21, don't do it at 26.

D'Angelo is playing on a **** team, with a coach that doesn't like him, and there is nothing even remotely similar being said about him.

So absolutely, D'Angelo was the right pick.

Absolutely the right pick? There are few absolutes in this world, and a draft pick after 15 games is not one of them.

Sure Okafor has gotten in trouble, that speeding thing I believe happened a few weeks ago, so I think people are pilling on him now. And nobody would care about Russell's diva attitude if he was playing amazing like we all want him to be. Look at Westbrook, he's a diva like no other, and people applaud him for it, because when he plays out there he gives everything. People were questioning Russell because of his play, I don't care if he wears a pineapple on his head as long as he's killing it out there and early on he wasn't and now he's picked it up a bit, but this guy is the Lakers 2nd pick, expectations are high.

You have no idea how Okafor would be doing right now on the Lakers, none whatsoever, all we have is what we see now. So I think its ridiculous to say it was absolutely the right pick, Russell was a good pick for many reasons, but we won't know it was the right pick now, not after 15 games, not after Okafor has gone through some of his troubles.

We are all cheering for the same thing here, but lets not act like Russell has been a home run early on. Like if someone said Porzingas was the right pick, I can't cosign that not after 15 games, let the season play out, let Okafor and Russell both play some more games and later in the season we can revisit this point.

I just don't think we need to make ourselves feel better and tout that Russell was the right pick after every bad incident that happens to Okafor, or any other draftee for that matter.

Just saying.

Look I'm pro D'lo but I'm not gonna shove it down everyone's throat and say in every one of my posts that "he was absolutely" the right pick.

Unless you can tell the future and see a couple years down the line, we don't know yet.

Kobe just confirmed this is his last season on The Player's Tribune. Of course the site crashed.

I knew after the Knicks game this was going to be it, still in disbelief though.

Remaining home game tix are going to skyrocket now.

I wonder how this impacts Byron's job security for the rest of the year. I bet it helps him hang on till the end.

Came to pay my respect for what he brought to the League and what he has done for the organization for 20 years. #Legend

I'm driving back to SD.

I get a phone call from my mom. She says baby, stay calm. I'm instantly worried... She tells me Kobe announced he is retiring.

Lol I love my mom.

You knew the news would hit soon. Glad I bought my ticket for the last home game last week. There are a couple of single seats left in the lower bowl for that game.

Thanks for the memories, Kobe. Who else is catching a game this season?
