LOCK IT UP - College Football - 2009 Season/2010 Off-Season

I have faith faith in Murray this season. I've always liked AJ and I consider him the best WR in the nation & i see the Bulldogs surprising folks. Richt aint going nowhere.

cus AJ gonna do numbers and UGA still gonna lose significant games.

any time a coach is forced to change his staff, he's not on solid ground

I agree he is not on totally solid ground for sure.  I think that another season like last will have him on the hot seat for next year not fired after this but that is just the feel Iget being around Athens all summer and after the season.  We will have to wait and see.  What record do see UGA with anyway to get him fired? 7-5?  6-6?

* I say 5 losses & if they don't qualify for a January Bowl, he may be 50/50

I wish the best for Collier. He's been through a lot with his baby son dying. Something like that woulda had me dropping out of school.

Hope he gets it together and balls out for USC next year.

At this rate, LSU is going to be done with its 2011 signing class by the start of the season.

The Tigers picked up their 17th commitment on Friday when quarterback Stephen Rivers, the younger brother of San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, said he planned to sign with LSU.

ESPN rates Rivers as the country's 55th best quarterback prospect. His Athens, Ala., high school coach, Allen Creasy, said Rivers was further along than his older brother was at this point in his career.

"He's bigger. He's faster, and he throws the ball better," Creasy told The Baton Rouge Advocate. "That's just the truth. I think Stephen's potential and future are unlimited."

Former Florida safety John Curtis reportedly has committed suicide at age 24, according to the sports website www.onlygators.com.

Many former Gators and friends of Curtis have tweeted their respects.

One player who took to twitter right away was Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback, Joe Haden. Haden, the No. 7 pick in this year's NFL draft who played with Curtis at Florida, tweeted, "U never know how much u truly love someone until they r gone!! R.I.P John Curtis #24! U will be missed!!!!"

Curtis was a special teams specialist during his time in Gainesville. He played on the Gators' scout team in 2004, sat out 2005 with a knee injury, but was able to play for the team during their 2006 national championship season.

He saw action on kickoff return and punt teams in their title run.

In 2007, he blocked a punt against South Carolina but tore his ACL in 2008 that eventually ended his football career.

Kinda feeling like this is gonna be one of those weird years in CFB like 2007. Like nobody is exempt from upsets this year.

Im tellin ya, if Rice beats Texas, its a forewarning.

I don't see any truly great teams right now. Hard to pick a NC. Right now I'd have to pick UF to win it all. :smh
I can live with that.
Can't wait for the season. This off-season flew by. Unfortunately, I think it's for the wrong reasons. Oh well. Let's bring on 2010

I don't see how you have SC winning the Pac 10 and having Lane Kiffin on the hot seat at the same time.

This "new" investigation the NCAA is bringing up

.  That is how slow they move, we were talking about this last year.

Pat Haden gonna have a problem on his hands shortly
Pat Haden was a part of the Trustee's that brought in Lane Kiffin & Co.  There hasn't been any new Lane Kiffin developments since he got hired.

He's been on the job for more than 6 months now, and he hasn't done anything that he did at Tennessee.  Is it because of the NCAA cloud?  Could it be that he means what he says, that USC is not UT and he doesn't have to do the things he did there because USC is... well USC.

The media just keeps looking for reasons to throw Lane under the bus, even though he has been relatively quiet since he came back to SC.

The NCAA is all of a sudden investigating everyone and their momma and the only one that gets a segment on ESPN is the "new" UT investigation

Theoron Collier - Would feel better about him if he played a position of need (OL, LB), unfortunately he plays a position that is stacked.  Hopefully he can contribute as a KR/PR.

You serious?
He is under a microscope

how dont u see he's on the hot seat.
if he does some dumb %%++, which he has done at every spot he's coached at, u dont think hes a goner?

really didnt think I had to explain that considering the investigation, probation and new AD.

Every game, press conference, interview....everyone is waiting for him to make his first major mistake at USC.

The whole year he'll be on the hot seat. Pat Haden is a hard $%$ and will look for anything.
