LOCK IT UP - College Football - 2009 Season/2010 Off-Season

Apparently Cuff was showing out in Spring. I was not too impressed with him last year but we will see. He got worked on that long TD run Demaryius Thomas had in the Tech game last year. Hopefully Smith gets his academics in order.

How's Rambo coming along? Heard somewhere he could be a X factor at that FS spot

A lot is expected out of Rambo to be the anchor in the Secondary. Right now they switching him back and forth between SS and FS trying to see who the other guy will be at the safety position between Jakar Hamilton and Nick Williams. With Williams out there they got Rambo at FS and with Hamilton they got Rambo playing SS. So that shows how much they are counting on him this year. Apparently a lot of the safeties have been impressing in the secondary so far in practice so it looks like we have some depth there hopefully. Now it will be up to who partners Boykin at CB. I loved Rambo last year though. He was flying around making plays and it took him awhile to get major PT. The Defensive coaches last year were too worried about seniority and not who was playing the best. Had bum %+* Bryan Evans out there when Rambo should of been starting the whole time.

^ Word. Everyone loved his intensity & motivation. Especially after that big play he made that won UGA a game last season against South Carolina? I think it was them..

The NCAA denied Kenbrell Thompkins appeal, he cant play til 2011

I mean that's awesome, but that's pretty ignorant.   Let's see what happens when we actually get on the field....

I remember last year they had UGA ranked #5...  8-5 season really shows a #5 ranked team.....

James Wilder Jr. making his decision August 18th. ESPNU special?

Where do y'all think he's going? I'm gonna say FSU. Hopefully Murray & Charles have some influence on his decision though...hopefully..

FSU DT Moses McCray (Part time starter) and RB Tavares Pressley our out for the season w/ torn ACL's. Pressly is a Juco kid and also tore his ACL the 1st week get got to practice back in 2008.

Feel bad for the guy. He is a RS-Sr and idk if coaches are gonna try to get a medical hardship for him.

This, comes on the heels of our DT commit Damien Jacobs not making it in school, Carr gettign arrested (probably kicked off eventually), Jarmon getting kicked off and Glen Stanley not making it in.

Welcome to Head Coaching Jimbo

Damn, Elliot Porter has been all over the place this last week. From what I've heard, he went to Kentucky, then to Oregon, and now he's at TAMU today.

With DJ Jones leaving town last month, we have a scholarship open. I would love to get Porter and take a chance on him as a DL.

from what Ive heard about Elliott is that he's just not a good DT prospect.
Tennessee would have followed thru with the scholarship for him if he was.
He's a much better OL prospect

Interesting...we're pretty desperate for DL, so maybe we'll take a chance on him anyways.

We're really thin on the DL, and nobody from the '11 class seems to be interested in playing the nose for us. Porter seems interested in playing the nose, and that's really the biggest reason that I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Aaron Murray has Georgia's first-string offense off to a strong start.

Murray passed for 237 yards and two touchdowns in Georgia's first scrimmage of the preseason schedule. Murray, the freshman starter, completed 12 of 21 passes with one interception.

Coach Mark Richt says the Bulldogs' starters on offense and defense "whipped" the backups. He says that is what he wants to see in a scrimmage.

The scrimmage was held at Sanford Stadium on Georgia's second day in full pads.

Caleb King had 14 carries for 63 yards. Washaun Ealey had five carries for 66 yards.

A.J. Green had five catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

Plan on attending a few Tulsa games this year...

And anything from CFN is complete garbage. I don't know how their name is College Football News and yet they know next to nothing about college football. They talked about us returning only 4 starters on D, then listed our weaknesses as "Receiver"

The hell

but that was Spurrier talkin

it wasnt like they put a spin on it and tried to interpret what Spurrier was saying, it was SOS talking.

change is very noticeable with ND's strength and conditioning program.

actually look like a team of high major DI football players. We'll see if it holds up in November.

Teo, Floyd and Jonas Gray in particular look like beasts.

EJ Banks left the team.
