Lost 4 Gs at the casino...21

This thread inspired me to go to the casino last night. 

Was up $250, cashed out and told myself. Let me just get a beer at the bar to celebrate. 

Winded up playing again. Lost it all. Now i am down $160.00 

Not the end of the world but I don't gamble with large amounts, so being up 250 was pretty exciting for me. 

Should have just left smg.

By page 2 I was pretty psyched up. A few posts before yours I was ready to take my check up after work and bet it all on red...

When I used to go to the casino regularly I played Craps and mostly Roulette. I Had a pretty good system.
This one time I took a 60 dollar table comp from the casino and turned it into $1500. I was on a roll. And at the time I was betting like 2-300 a roll.
I told myself, when I lose a bet I would quit. I lost a hand and went down to 1200 but I kept playing going back and forth.
Then i lost another big hand that left me at like 900, so I got up and went to eat at the buffet.

Keep in mind that I rode the Casino bus there. We arrived at 12pm and I had won all that money by 1:30 and the bus didnt leave til 5:30

So back to the story, I go eat to get away from the table for a bit, walk around and maybe an hour or so later went back to the table.
Needless to say, I lost every last single cent. Didnt even have 2 dollars to tip the bus driver.
And all day the next day, literally EVERY SINGLE commercial I saw, was selling something for $1500.
I was SICK. Didnt go back for a few months.

But when I did go back I got my money back. Most of it anyway. Got up to $1300. Lost a few bets and went down to $950.
I said **** THAT. I refuse to lose it all again. I put 50 bucks deposit on a free room the casino sent me a coupon for and watched tv until the bus was ready to go.

Nah Poker is where it's at.

My Bball teammate from highschool is considered a "Professional Poker Player" His Dad has been teaching him since grade school.

Everytime we used to come over to play ball or swim, he would ask us if we wanted to play Poker instead

Anyway, last time I talked to him was last year, he entered some tournament where he won like $160,000 or something like that.

I believe him, only because I witnessed how we grew up, from his Dad, nice cars, big house... ect.

But one thing you gotta know about gambers... they are complusive liars! They lie about everything.

what makes someone more skilled or luckier than others?

do they always go by text book, double down, splits?

the only time people really win is when they hit a hot part of the shoe.

most people play by the textbook, but you still get the players who try extra hard to get to 21 and dnt pay attention to the hits and what not.

dealing a 6 card shoe, get in and get out quick.

I went to the casino some years back to have some drinks at the bar with this chick.. I normally just move with right about $200 cash just on the strength plus my debit card... I was never a gambler from the beginning.. you know blow $20-75 on $5 BJ TABLES and on $1-$5 slot machines only if I'm out with friends enjoying the moment.

Long story short I go to the casino and I'm waiting on shorty to show up... its starts snowing and she calls and says its gonna take a lil longer than normal. So i say EFF it let me play a slot have a drink, burn this cigar and try and mack me a waitress or sumn.. I mean most of them sexy AF anyway and I might end up getting a 2 for 1, b/c shorty thats on her way is with the ish.... plus I'm feeling kinda lucky.... lol

I put $20 in a slot in front of me and another on the side of me and bet max $3 bucks a hand.. fast forward 10minutes I JACKPOT one of them for 12K.....

Needless to say I kept it.. Walked out a winner.. ANYTIME i went to a casino to gamble (with the intent on breaking the bank)i lost my *** but nothing more then $100-200....

Anytime I went just to hang out or what have you I won.. wasn't really on some "I'M GOING TO WIN A MILLION DOLLARS" ish.....
Just was going to be going and having some fun and chilling with friends.. even in Vegas.

Still go every now and again but stick to my methods just take $100-200 and if I come up great, if not so be it. UNLESS in Vegas...

Went to a gambling hall for the first time a couple months ago. Thought it was odd a player wasnt playing, didnt realize till hella hands after that was a banker handing them the payouts.

I was like dam, id rather be a banker, . They aint gotta deal with ish.

im a dealer at a cardroom. one of my boys said he wanted to be a banker cause it seem so easy. he made the switch to dealing a couple months later lol
