LOST Season 6 Preseason Thread vol. we almost there!

Not LOST related, but definitely something that made me look twice. I just watched the movie Frequency. In that movie, Elizabeth Mitchell plays a charactername "Julia" and the character of the bad guy in the movie is named "Jack Shepard".....talk about coincidences.

Just looked up the definition of the title for next week's episode "Namaste".......

Namaste is a Hindi salutation or greeting. The word Namaste is a combination of the two Sanskrit words: nama, and te. Basically, nama means "to bow"and te means "you." Taken literally, it means "I bow to you"

If I remember correctly Horace greets Ben and his father when they arrive on the island with "Namaste" Maybe in this episode we will see Ben comingto the island as a boy again..only this time with Jack and the crew already on the island..Just a thought

i hope not....im a sucker for eyes..but hers annoyed the hell outta me

Interesting to remember that when Jack was on the plane before it crashed, the flight attendant gave him a couple of small bottles of alcohol.

If memory serves me correct, it's the first thing Jack reaches for when he wakes up on the island...

that'd be good IMO ..

I bet that's exactly what happens. Since they are in 1977 right now....

-Jack said the tumor Ben had looked to be a man in his 40's in '04, that would put be being born around 1964.

-It seemed like Ben had to be about 13 when he came to the island, that would put Ben coming to the island around 1977.

Interesting... so will Ben see his self as a little boy, or is 316 in the future and not the past?

since all these Egyptian images are popping up frequently now, i remembered one event i believed had an connection with the Egyptian animals. in season twowhere jack, Kate, Hurley, Micheal, and sawyer decide to rescue Walt a bird attacks them kinda looks like the birds the Egyptians put on their sarcophagus. thebird ended up being tied in to Australian myth, and it called the Altjira if the name sounds familiar looks like that's where Ajira Airlines received itsname from

what do yall think this means?

Nice find NT OG. It's CRAZY how much detail has went into this show.

Thanks for the episode Sole, I'll have to re-look at it. I remember them going for Walt, I just don't remember the bird.

Also, in that pic it looks like Widmore has an"abc" logo on his chair, I wonder what that means........

I think this is the thing that we have missed the entire time that NYC has always referenced. I noticed it when I went back and watched the Pilot, but at thetime the only thing I could think of was that somehow the bottle of alcohol served as some kind of reminder (a constant, if you will?) that he needed to get tothe beach. Go back and watch it. As soon as he takes it out of his pocket, he suddenly takes off running. I still don't know the importance of alcoholcompletely, and this thread is about as much following up as I will do with LOST. All the other forums are just too much, my brain usually melts anytime I tryto read some of the theories. Anyway, when we get drunk, we lose sense of time. And as someone else pointed out, some people need alcohol/drugs in order toconnect with the island. So that's all I've got to contribute.
