Mad Men Season 7 Discussion Thread - Final Episodes - SERIES FINALE

Man I haven't been in here in a while...

you guys feel sorry for Joan?? Not I.

stopped caring for her when she sided with that dork that wanted Don out.

Anyone here read the D.B. Cooper theory for the ending? It's pretty interesting and probably the craziest way to end a show like this but it's been strangely on point so far from what we've seen this season  :nerd:

Don on the other hand. I think he just found out he not that golden goose aepps just said..
dude was in there pitching just like vintage Don.

.

Yup, I almost thought they were gonna do some sort of flashback to Don makin pitches cause the dude and how he was presenting sounded just like Don.

Another strong episode:

- Feel bad for Betty

- I thought Don's confession to the vets was cathartic for him

- He prevented that kid from going on the same path he did

- Sally crying after reading the letter

- Pete getting his happy ending. Always liked his progression

Excited to see how they end this as Weiner mentioned it won't satisfy viewers.

Feel so bad for Betty, but never has she been more of an adult than in this episode.
Happy for Pete, I stopped hating dude 2 seasons ago. It seems like maybe hes started to realize that there isn't always more out there. Hope this move makes him happy.
I'm excited to see how this ends, and confused as well.

Forgot the NT thick skrippa at the VA hall

Didn't catch Weiner say the finale will be unsatisfactory to most. Assuming this means ends left untied.

Who do we have closure for? Joan. Betty. Pete. Peggy? Roger?

Honestly, after Sopranos, I don't think I could be left with such a blank feeling again, but Weiner is a pretty brilliant guy, so won't know till next week.

Finally feel like we're coming to a close. Don's smile at the bus stop at the end was a great thing to see.

He finally got to work on Coca-Cola... and represent the hobo from his childhood

Great episode, just everything about this episode was great.

I think we've seen the last of Pete, Peggy, Sally , Betty. And maaaaaybe roger.

Last ep will be all don.

While I do feel like the majority of the episode should be Don I'd be extremely disappointed if I didn't get more with Peggy. Also the finale is 15 minutes longer than normal.

Joan - Wrapped
Ted - Wrapped
Kosgrove - Wrapped
Megan- Wrapped
Pete and Trudy- Wrapped
Duck (didn't expect to see him again) - Wrapped
Harry Crane- Wrapped
Sally- Wrapped
Betty and family- Wrapped

Roger- ???
Peggy- ???
Stan- ???

One of my guys actually ended a relationship with a great woman because she wanted the simple life and couldnt handle the city life. It's sad seeing it end like that. She was a keeper in every other way.

Seeing all these stories wrap up like that is so eerie. It's like the last day of college when you say goodbye to everyone who was a good friend to have in college but you know you wont keep in touch because life.
