NOW THAT MANY OF YOU ARE DONE BITING YOUR NAILS THANKS TO SOME VERY CLOSE GAMES IN WEEK 6, FEEL FREE TO JOIN US AS WE RE-ENTER...

:pimp: :smokin THE GAUNTLET!!! :smokin :pimp:

Welcome back!!! Let's skip the fluff && look back at the previous week's headlines!!!

A couple of NFC teams entered the week with a .500 record && needed every second to earn their third victories of the season!!!

At "THE LINC", the Rams && Eagles waged war in rainy conditions! The birds looked to be on the verge of an upset of St. Louis, until they forgot about the Rams' patented crunch time deep ball magic!!! Rams QB Terelle "Cam On A Budget" Pryor lit up the Eagles on the ground all afternoon, but his most important yardage was made thru the air, as he found Justin Hunter for a huge pickup on what would be the game-winning drive!!! To cap off that drive, Jared Cook reeled in a Pryor strike for a TD with under 10 seconds left && no timeouts, as the Rams escaped with a 21-20 victory over the devastated Eagles, improving to 3-2!!! :pimp: :pimp:

In last week's GOTW, the Seattle Seahawks emerged victorious && seized control of the NFC playoff picture with a 35-30 win over the Chicago Bears!!! Seattle looked fantastic from the outset as they raced to a 35-10 lead, which caused many to change the channel or fall asleep during what we (ie: I l:lol:) thought was a blowout victory!!! But Chicago led a fierce rally && nearly stole the game from the LOB, but fell just short while falling to 4-2!!! The former World Champions improved to 4-1 on the afternoon!! :nthat: :wow:

The Packers also eked out a close victory, defeating the Cardinals in the desert, 31-29 behind 171 yards && FOUR TDs by reigning MVP Eddie Lacy!! Now 3-2, the Pack will host their rival, defending NFC Champion Minnesota, in just one of our seven Week 7 key games!!! :nerd: :nerd:

We also had a couple shocking blowouts this week, as the Bucs && Patriots embarrassed their opponents in front of their own fans!!!

Tampa Bay, left nearly for dead after a rough 1-3 start, flourished thanks in large part to Tarvaris Jackson!!! He played the best 60 minutes of his football life, going a perfect 11-11 for 201 yards && 3 TDs in a 45-17 beat down of the Skins!!! :x :x Adrian Peterson also was a man unchained, scoring 4 TDs, including reeling in one of Jackson's TDs thru the air!!! Have things finally clicked for the new Bucs offense?? Where does Washington go from here??? :wow: :wow:

Meanwhile, in Houston, we did have a problem: the Texans never showed up!!! :x :x Welcoming a New England squad who was still seething over last week's debacle of a game against the Cowboys, the Texans looked like they left their hammer back in Kansas City, as new Pats RB CJ Spiller decimated the HOU defense, scampering for 144 yards && 2 scores, in a 27-7 rout!!! Both teams now sit at an even 3-3 but possibly headed in different directions??? :nthat: :nthat:

In other action, the Steelers, Jets, Saints, Vikings, Ravens, Panthers, && Giants all earned Week 6 victories!!! Let's take a look at some of the action around the league...

PIT STOPS IN PITTSBURGH && BALTIMORE, && CHARLOTTE (under construction, will soon be added) BELOW!!!

BUT...if you weren't at Arrowhead Stadium or JerryWorld last week, you missed two more instant classics!!!

In Dallas, the Dolphins got some unprecedented help from their special teams && converted on a 2 point attempt in the waning seconds to steal a Texas-sized, 36-35 victory from the now-.500 Cowboys!!! :wow: :wow:

Feast your eyes on the theatrics that were...:pimp: :pimp:

That arguably may not have even been the best game of the week, as difficult as that is to imagine!!! Week 7 saw the first of two showdowns between the Silver + Black && the World Champions, && it was a dandy indeed!!! The Raiders entered with just one loss on their record, && fought back from an early 10 point deficit, even controlling most of the back-and-forth action between the two clubs en route to racking up 502 yards of offense! But the Chiefs, with their feet to the flames once more, answered the bell as any great champion does...:wow: :wow:

After stopping the Raiders a yard short on a crucial 4th down while up 3 with their backs against their own endzone, Oakland's Usama Young came up with a huge interception of Alex Smith, putting the visiting team right back in the red zone with another chance to pull off the upset in hostile territory...:wow: :wow: :wow:

But the homecoming for former Chief Joe McKnight turned very bittersweet; while he received his Super Bowl ring from last season, he was hammered at the KC 1 yard line with mere seconds remaining, resulting in a fumble and a Kansas City recovery!!! The Chiefs survived once again, 34-31, && kept their unbeaten season intact!!! :nthat: :nthat: :nthat: :nthat:

But there's a reason why these two teams were mentioned together...

BECAUSE IN THE GAUNTLET CO-MAIN EVENT FOR WEEK SEVEN...WE'VE GOT A REMATCH OF THE CLASSIC AFC TITLE GAME IN SOUTH FLORIDA BETWEEN THE UNBEATEN CHIEFS, && THE 1-LOSS DOLPHINS WHO HAVE VENGEANCE ON THEIR MINDS!!! :smokin :smokin :smokin :smokin :smokin

As you may remember, Miami was one fourth down stop away from representing the AFC in the Super Bowl, but it just wasn't meant to be as KC ran their way down the field for the game winning TD!!! This sequel will be must-see TV, as the chance for redemption looms large...

WHICH CAN ALSO BE SAID FOR OUR SECOND OF TWO GAMES OF THE WEEK!!!

Last season, the reigning NFCS Champion New Orleans Saints entered Bank of America Stadium && THROTTLED their opponents as they raced to an early 28-0 lead!!! Despite a fierce comeback bid in the second half, the Saints were able to hold on for a 28-21 win for the Who Dat Nation...

BUT THE SEETHING, SURGING, STREAKING CAROLINA PANTHERS HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN THAT NIGHT!!! AFTER A HARD-FOUGHT 28-19 WIN AGAINST THE JAGUARS, THEY GET THEIR SHOT AT PRIMETIME RETRIBUTION, ONCE AGAIN ON A THURSDAY NIGHT!!! OH, NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT BOTH TEAMS ENTER 4-1, WITH THE WINNER LEAVING WITH THE LEAD OF THE NFCS ALL TO THEMSELVES!!! :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Can the Brees-less Saints make lightning strike twice in the Queen City? Or will Newton && Co. cash in on their vow for vindication && league respect???

OTHER KEY GAMES: WEEK 7!!!

IND @ TB : IN EACH TEAM'S MOST RECENT GAME, SIGNS OF LIFE WERE SHOWN BY THE COLTS && BUCS!!! WHO WILL PREVAIL THIS WEEK && GET BACK TO .500??? :nerd: :nerd:

WSH @ NE : THE SKINS LOOK TO PUT LAST WEEK'S NO SHOW BEHIND THEM WHILE MAINTAINING THEIR NFCE LEAD AS THEY TRAVEL TO FOXBORO, WHERE THE PATS LOOK TO BUILD ON LAST WEEK'S MOMENTUM!!! :pimp: :pimp:

CHI @ ARZ : BOTH TEAMS ENTER THIS WEEK FRESH OFF CLOSE LOSSES TO THE HAWKS && PACK, RESPECTIVELY!!! WHO WILL AVOID A 2-GAME SKID AFTER 60 MINUTES IN THE DESERT??? :smokin :smokin

MIN @ GB : SO THE NFC CHAMPS ARE WITH US AFTER ALL, HUH??? THEY ENTER LAMBEAU FOR A SNF TILT AGAINST THE PACKERS IN WHAT SHOULD BE A POWER FOOTBALL SHOWCASE!!! :pimp: :pimp:

Last but not least...:nerd:

TORETTO'S TAKE: WEEK SEVEN!!!

Giants indeed played the whole game through on both sides of the ball.

Upon review, I can say that Giants deserves to have his full arsenal of weaponry against NYJ this week.
