The AP ran a story about Hulk Hogan not being at Raw this week. Hogan said that he has had occasional contact with Vince McMahon but is close to Paul Levesque. The company made a statement in regard to Hogan not being there saying, “At this time, WWE remains committed to its decision (to not use Hogan).” Hogan claimed, “I’m about ready to jump on a plane and fly to Japan and get involved with that Bullet Club, man. I’m so excited about those kids.” There were negotiations a few months back for Hogan to be part of The Bullet Club, as legit they have said the only outside guys they’d want in would be C.M. Punk or Hogan. The feeling was that Hogan wanted too much money and he’d bail on them the minute Vince called, and the feeling was that he was negotiating in the first place to get Vince to bring him back. And that has been his m.o. in the past the first time he was going to work TNA and also with that Jimmy Hart group years ago that he was going to be the face off and then bailed because WWE was then interested in bringing him in rather than have him work elsewhere. Hogan also said he was about to open a new restaurant called “Hogan’s Hangout.” The reality is Hogan will come back as soon as the company believes there would be no sponsor backlash. But that is hard because unfortunately, there is no way, if they brought him back, if a sponsor was upset, that WWE could defend itself because his language can’t be defended in public court
