Gotta make a beer run (heading out on the boat tomorrow).. But that opening to 8 got me
 
Just finished the season. The standout episodes to me were 3,4 and 9. Not saying the others were just okay, they were pretty good, but those three all had signature moments.

I wanted more DD and Frank interactions. After episode 4 we did not get as much and their conflicting viewpoints provided the most engaging scenes imo. Reminded me of a Batman/Joker or Professor X/Magneto dynamic. I was getting worried mid-way through that the show would be wasting Bernthal's performance by having him sit for 3-4 episodes during the trial, thankfully they cut him loose.

I also agree about the season not having a great main villain. Felt recycled that it was DD and Nobu again and it just was not as thrilling as I hoped it would be. Hopefully going forward they reveal how powerful The Hand can be, especially that they got Black Sky at the the end.

I'm up to 9, and I see what ya mean, but I actually think it's been working without that main villain.

There's conflict within DD vs Castle, DD vs Elektra/Stick, DD vs Foggy and Karen, Castle vs Fisk and the prison in general

I don't see either of those.. Trying to think a better example..

Only thing that comes to mind is MLK and macolm X.. Both clearly fighting for similar things, but one clearly more extreme than other

I'm already well versed on the Punisher origin so I did not sympathize with him as much. I'd only say so far he's doing a bit too much talking when it comes to explaining his actions or telling ppl he meant the no harm (what he says to Karen in the hospital).

I want the more quiet one word Punisher that only has mean things to say to criminals right before he kills them. Stuff like on the roof top with Grotto or the no words when he's offered kiddie porn. That's THE Punisher. None of this wah wah I don't want to forget my family nonsense. It gets to a point for Frank where the mission becomes bigger than why he started in the first place. This is his life. He just wasn't driven to do it this is what he wants to do for as long as he lives.

I think that's the direction they are going with the character. the origin was needed to introduce people to the character

but yeah, from this point on I want to see the 100% business, no nonsense, no need to explain his actions, no self doubt in if what he's doing is wrong, he IS the punisher. there's a reason he doesnt wear a mask and doesnt bother hiding his identity, his entire life is about being the punisher. 
 
Episode 9 though....this boy Frank is an animal and Wilson Fisk is the worst kind of savage. :lol:

How're you gonna be eating some good food and talking to a dying man about how his lungs are filling up with blood?
 
in every tv show/movie why is steak the go to meal for people living a luxury life in prison?

Man this season was so good. Almost wish i stretched it out over a couple more days.

Marvel absolutely killing it right now.

If there's a Frank Castle cameo in Civil War... Lawd. I wanna see more Frank naow.

Yup, like those zombie kids, I am all for setting things up but it's like that went absolutely nowhere and I don't really want to wait a year if all it's gon' do is revive Elektra. It would have been better if those zombie kids were the ones turning into ninjas, like the dead one in the coroner that has been sliced up and sewn back together likely where they're heading though but would have been nice if they touched up on it this season already.

And :lol: @ Daredevil still in denial on what the Hand could do even after Nobu comes back to life and seeing hearing all the Avengers alien and robot things going on in the world.

i liked when Stick said something like "ya dont believe in a man coming back from the dead but your whole religious belief system is based on a guy that did the same thing"

Kingpin has BEEN that dude. He is playing chess. D'Onofrio steals the scene when he's in there. He straight up told Frank that he tried to get him killed and he is EXPECTING to meet him outside for a showdown. I can't wait to see Kingpin in future seasons. :pimp:

Actually saw something on facebook like an hour ago about how the actor for Hawkeye is open to doing a netflix show for Marvel. They should honestly give it to him in my opinon. Not like he's ever getting a film anyways.
 
I'd like to see some cameos from the actors in the movies in the shows. Probably wouldn't happen but it'd be cool to see.
 
SamJack says yes to everything so I'm sure you'd see him if they choose to fit him in somewhere.
