That depends on your definition of a mass shooting. Multiple people get shot in NY everyday.
I'm not sure I understand why that dude was goin on about Mental Health stats in his state, when the shooter came from a whole *** 'nother state.....?
I get everyone wants to bare arms, great, so can we can Smith and Wesson to start makin Muskets & **** again so that's all folks can buy and be happy with? Then you have your stupid piece of 17th century paperwork covered, but it'll take you 11 minutes to fire 6 bullets. Win/win.

The definition of mass shooting I have found is defined as a single event involving more than 4 people shot

I have a friend who is bi-polar and has Schizophrenia who just got his conceal permit and copped more ammo than he could shoot in a lifetime.
Been friends for 20 years, but tbh I'm kinda worried about being around him now with a gun.

5 mass shootings, not 5 people is considered a mass shooting.
So in your example 3 people would not be considered a mass shooting.
NY state has the bottom 5 gun deaths per capita state by state despite having top 4 population

A single event with 4 people shot is a mass shooting according to your definition. How does 5 people shot not meet the criteria? NY state and NYC aren't the same either so might be talking about 2 different things.

I think there’s some miscommunication between us. But anyway NYC is in NY State right? So if it happened in NYC it would have registered in NY State.
What I think you’re trying to say is you THINK theres been “mass shootings” in NYC that are not being tallied in the NY state mass shootings. I’m not sure I’m just using the statistics available to me.
