Never in a millions years I would’ve thought something like this could happen On Bourbon,I got woken up to this morning and immediately started calling my fam & friends

I did the exact same thing. Immediately called my mom and dad. It's crazy when something like this happens in your own backyard.

Glad you’re safe, NT fam. But I think we all gotta realize this can happen anywhere, unfortunately. I’m honestly surprised it doesn’t happen more, but maybe that speaks to how much planning goes into preventing this kind of thing.

RIP to the victims. Not that there’s any good time for this to happen, but what an awful way to start the year for so many families.

Had to check in with my friend who flew into New Orleans from Portland for the game. Luckily he got in at 7am after the melee. His plan was to peruse bourbon st, the city, catch the game then fly back. Now he’s on lockdown scrambling to find a hotel. Crazy day

The dude was a a US born citizen, a vet and from a red state…That takes away a lot of their focus, it’ll just be terrorism…Trump initially jumped out the window talking bout illegal immigrants and crime but been quite once the info bout the suspect came out

Did they ever say definitively that he didn't act alone? Because that's a tough thing to walk back. Saying you have people walking around placing IEDs is going to cause a lot of panic whether or not it's true. IMO you better be damn sure if you make that claim.
