Excellent analysis by Lance Storm.
My favorite thing about Okada\Kenny 4 was the fact that Okada’s fall didn’t come with a finisher. I love when matches don’t end with a finishing move (Cody’s NWA title win for example).Wrestling is based on combat. That’s why all of my favorite matches tend to have some kind of botch in it. Fights are like abstract art: rarely pretty, but beautiful when technique is applied.

I have never really had a big problem with "finisher spam" (or any kind of move spam for that matter) so I agree with him

Finisher spam is the dumbest thing ever created. I blame Stone Cold and the Rock. ONE FINISHER SHOULD END ALL MATCHES!!!!!!!!! It's way to many high impact moves to give the crowd false finishes without using finishers

Naw I gotta disagree with Lance. I know people wanna make wrestling out to be this REAL combat sport but it's not. It's entertainment. I want to be entertained. Just like jesse the body said when macho man dropped that elbow you knew it was over(except warrior BA).
Think about how many stories could be told if finishers are protected like omega okada.
