This thread makes me realize that, with as far as Hasbro got with toy engineering, they've yet to make a perfect G1 looking Megatron and it's been almost 30 years

  Masterpiece Megatron was a nice figure but his legs make him look pretty silly in robot mode.  I'm surprised it's gonna take a bootleg company to make the best looking G1 figure to date.  Just get you a Decepticon sticker to put on his chest and you're good to go.

imho revoltech made a damn good G1 version of megatron

It might not have a alternate mode but this is the megatron I remember but actually better.  This is the IDW G1 megatron.  I scooped this little guy up along with prime and ultra magnus when they came out and i'm glad I did.

yeah, I like the RT version too but like I said, I can't believe Hasbro still hasn't been able to make a definitive actual G1 Megatron Transformer like they have with so many Optimus Prime's

1985...that was seven years before I was even born.
I didn't grow up watching the OG Transformers.
I watched Beast Wars and Armada.
