agreed. the graphics would be better (unless it wasn't an exclusive. then of course the game would be made for xbox and ported to the ps3) and the game would probably be longer than 15 hours.

I can think of a bunch of franchises that are better without even breaking a sweat.

so far i like it, the transition from 3rd person to side scrolling is seamless.
the only issues it has is the auto aim is to forgiving, switching to first person leaves you wide open.

GOW only has three games in it's series. Doesn't sound right to compare it to a 20 year old franchise.
Mario has a crap load of awful games, but still a good series.
That being said, the Metroid series is not my favorite. If SEGA were smart, they'd continue the Jet Set series

I have personally enjoyed playing the gta series (even with its repetitive flaws) more than Metroid.
Even though GOW doesn't have 20 years worth of history it is shaping up to be a future classic. I feel the same way about Assassins Creed and Uncharted
