If you refer to Miami as a "southern city" in any real conversation, you'll probably looked at like an idiot. Geographically, we're in thesouth, no arguing that, but we aren't a Southern city by traditional standards. Miami is diverse as any city you could find in the U.S., and its definitelymuch more than what any small-minded perception may hold.
