for example, while maybe not exactly the same class but still:
bruce lee vs. fmw jr.

at the end of the day its a stupid thread OP, at least pick 2 fighters in the same weight class
^^ what he said. I think Bruce was an advocate of eye gouging, kicking the nuts, etc etc..stuff that would be useful in a street fight.
But putting that aside, do you think that Tyson would be able to check leg kicks?
If Tyson was put on the ground, do you think he would be able to defend submission attempts?
Which is where the speed difference comes in.And Tyson could also go for the vitals in the streets. What's so hard to understand about that?Bruce and Tyson are in completely different weight classes. It's not even close.
The only way Bruce is beating him is if he can attack the vitals with no rules.
In a boxing match you can't poke the eyes or kick someone in the balls.
So Tyson wins. What's so hard to understand about that?
You put me in a boxing ring with someone that has 60+ pounds of pure muscle on me I know my chances of winning aren't gonna be too good."The bigger they are, the harder they fall."Bruce and Tyson are in completely different weight classes. It's not even close. So the boxer would win in a boxing match? I thought y'all claimed Tyson wasn't fast enough? That lee was just too fast to be touched. Even in a boxing match lee should be too fast that doesn't change that.
Being in the ring limits Tyson's attacks too. Can't grab and slam him.

Size dont mean anything. I seen SOOOOOO many dudes get dropped by smaller guys.
I hope you not out here scared of "big" dudes...

It doesn't matter how fast Bruce is in the ring if his gloved punches are just bouncing off Tyson's abs
But in the street where he can get in quick and cripple him with a jab to the throat it makes a world of difference.

Tyson would also resort to those tactics. He bit a dudes ear in front if the world, a knee to the dong would happen
I think lee gets one leg kick in and Tyson goes for the grab and dirty boxes from there. I see lee getting him to the ground as much as I see lee suplexing him
"The bigger they are......" Statement sounds good, but Tyson is a freak of nature. His foot work and speed do not belong with that frame. That's what made him great. You throw in his conditioning, hand speed, and fighting ability..... Man.
That saying does to apply to iron mike. If anything look at the guys he fought against. They were mostly bigger than he was
and still Lee would be faster
Bob Sapp beating a legend in Ernesto Hoost.. twice.
A big dumb boxer vs one of the best kickboxing champions ever. Size matters.
And Bruce Lee isnt the founder of MMA, since pancration has been around for millenniums.
Bruce is the "god-father" of MMA since his principles helped develop a mentality for MMA, and bringing people together physically, spiritually, ect.
Also Bruce Lee never studied BJJ, since BJJ was still in Brazil being taught and developed within the Gracie family.
He studied Judo, which still had ground techniques and submissions, under Gene LaBelle. However those Judo ground techniques aren't as effective against someone outweighing you 70 pounds. That is why BJJ or rather Gracie JJ was developed. Those armbars Bruce Lee did in the movies arent real armbars, and that's again coming from a clip of Bas Rutten talking about Bruce Lee.
I could make an argument for Larry Holmes being the top heavy of the 80s, but I'm not gonna bother that was a pretty ****** era for heavyweights anyway.
Heres a quick gif of Mike shadowboxing though

Waits for "but lee was faster"
We ask for proof
We get "just because............. Doesn't mean it didn't happen"
