So now that people have found out that the student on a hunger strike comes from a family that's worth 20 million or so dollars apparently he's not allowed to speak about the struggles of black people in America. If not him then who? When Obama talks about it white people call it race baiting, when the poor complain about it they get ignored because it's because they're lazy, subscribe to black culture, and don't seek out education, when someone from a wealthy family talks about it He's not allowed to speak on the "struggle" of the underpriveleged because they're rich. It's funny that white people have so much power and they don't even realize it. They literally get to pick and choose who gets to be the spokes person for the struggle and oppression of black people in America. If that's not privelege what is?
REPPED.
Probably the best thing said in this thread.
Bottom line: a lot of white folks aren't trying to hear ANY complaining from ANY person of color. You're not slaves and there's a black president--what could possibly be your issue????
Dude is honestly my favorite troll,he never let's up **** is hilarious.
Stories of race: People and events that have had an impact on MU
you do know it was multiple events over a drawn out period right? He failed to address it and half *** acknowledged it so the students hit a point where they had enough.I still fail to see what a university president is supposed to about a couple random n-bombs being dropped on (or near) campus. Seriously. It sounds like dumb, drunk college stuff. That's why his resignation and these protests ultimately amount to nothing but people being able to pat themselves on the back for doing...something?
oh god...the coach tap dancing away from all the protest all of a sudden...he just needed his players to be satisfied so he can get another dubbya....

I just listened to it. That interviewer is a clown. Pinkel didn't say anything wrong in that interview.
From Mizzou: Gary Pinkel to resign as MU football coach after the 2015 season because of health reasons
Naw bro they ain't burnin down a damn thing.Well said fam ^ ....
white privilege is so extreme in America....those who deny it are just lying because whenever something happens in favor of blacks they be the first one crying talking about amendments all kinda other ****
If blacks economical power today equaled what it was during the early to mid 1900s (accounting for inflation) ....they'd burn down our neighborhoods now like they did back then. There were numerous black neighborhoods flourishing compared to white neighborhoods in some areas. Poorer whites got jealous and was allowed to burn them down while the police turned their backs.
But I digress

America's problem is that anything against the status quo is taboo. Questioning police activity/intentions=anti-status quo, pointing out the uneven playing field based on race and class and demanding change=anti-status quo. People are fighting so hard to keep things the same all the while resisting and being willfully ignorant of what's going on around them. Hell even when white people try to speak up they get disregarded by the right as "stupid libs".
