Not true. I'd take my chances with Bautista who is getting on base with LHP & RHP.
Who is to say that any of these players that have played multiple positions briefly would have the ability to field these positions adequately for 9 innings and 162 games?
I'd take the offense over the defense because defense is players + pitching. You can have the best defensive team, but if your pitcher is serving up gopher balls, there is nothing you can do defensively. You could also have a pitcher that has a high K/rate and doesn't rely on his defense as extensively and be fine. There are alot of variables such as home ballparks & pitching rotations that are unknown, so I would pick the one thing I can control which is the hitting.
