Another hairstyle I like is Joseph Gordon-Levitt's most times.

The cut itself is called a Taper. The hair is cut close to the sides and in the back, while leaving the desired length on the top (Usually 2-3 inches). Apply some pomade and the cut is complete.

Had the "combover" a year ago then decided to cut it all off and get a 1, missed longer hair so now it's almost back to long but I will be going for a more slicked back look without a part.
