Hoping that the box office numbers are good enough to warrant a sequel. Imagine if Godzilla goes berserk at the box office and we get a Pacific Rim 2 and way more monster/kaiju movies!!!

Yah it'll depend on how it does in the box office. If it flops I believe the franchise will be done for the US.
Pacific Rim barely made money domestically, worldwide money saved it so even that isn't guaranteed to have a sequel. I know the acting was bad but I thought it would at least get more viewers off of the concept and great action and cgi alone.
