2001 New York Yankees lose in 7 games in the World series to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Heartbreaking. Still shocked Mo didn't come through for us. Looking back, it was an incredible series though.

2002 NY Giants lose to the SF 49ers 39-38 after being up 24pts. I swear the heat all the way in SF really got to me that game. That fight broke out, the players thrown out. Defense just collapsing. I was furious.

Then a bunch of Knicks games in the 90s AND EARLY 2000s against the Bulls, Pacers, Rockets, Spurs etc. This team and it's subsequent losing for a decade despite all my hope when they were a good team probably changed me the most when it comes to my attitude when watching NBA games.
