The Quadrantid meteor shower will reach its peak intensity early Friday morning in what some astronomers think will be the most intense event of its kind this year. The shower could produce over 120 "shooting stars" an hour, according to NASA astronomers.
It already took place early this Friday morning (or late night Thursday for those on the west coast).
