NAS Thread - Nas x HitBoy - MAGIC 3 Out Now

Still don’t understand the hate for Nasir. I know that was the Kanye hate train time, but still.

KD2 🔥

The hate for Nasir is that he’s off beat on some songs. It sounds like someone took his vocals and added them to random beats he didn’t rap to.

I hate Kanye and I liked Nasir a lot and I liked the Teyana EP.

I feel like as NaS has gotten older, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got lazy and was using other people’s rhymes. I got that feeling from Nasir because his flow was so off at times. Lost tapes 2 also gave me that feeling.

Nas has kinda had the off beat thing going since Life Is Good. unsure if he's trying different flows, hearing loss or just building w/others like you suggest but I mean he's been sounding like that at times for a minute.

Lauryn had the best verse on the album. KD had more standout songs on first listen. I feel like KD2 is darker, more gritty, less catchy. There’s pros and cons in comparison to the OG, but I’m leaning KD > KD2. I would have cut about 3-4 songs off KD2 to make it smoother and more enjoyable straight through.
