they need to make a Throwback dunk contest feature with the classic dunks from the past, and make these contestants actually make the dunks they practice. this is the 2nd year people aren't satisfied with these events.
The point is that SOMETHING needs to be done about it. Its not a good product as it stands right now. LeBron is a power dunker yeah, but do you really think he cant think of some nice dunks? Or have someone else create the dunks for him? Come on man. They don't hear you. Too ignorant and nostalgic. They want every year to be 1988 or 2000IDK why ya'll want LeBron to be in it so bad. He said it himself today at All-star practice he's not a creative dunker, he's more of a game dunker.
So you want LeBron James to do what? A powerful cock-back dunk that you see him do every game?
He's 28 years old, next year he'll be 29. He's not doing it, get over it. It wouldn't be that special anyways.
In an nba dunk contest nobody cares what you did a few years back in some other gym.White is not hype. Go look at his YouTube videos

good ideaFor the first round they need to scrap the individual dunk format and just let all the contestants be on the court taking turns in a 3-4 minute dunk-off. If they miss then the next contestant is up and it's a cycle until time runs out. No time wasted on gimmicks or the energy being drained with the same person missing 3+ attempts. The judges can vote on the 2 guys they thought had the best dunks through the dunk-off and they can advance into the Finals, which would be the traditional individual format.
I think it would make these contestants feel more comfortable too because the pace would be more like a layup line/end of practice dunk-off.
You don't remember the 'wheel'?

Maybe next year lebron will b in it so he can do his one hand cock back on a oop from wade :/ we would be having the same conversation.
All of this.IDK why ya'll want LeBron to be in it so bad. He said it himself today at All-star practice he's not a creative dunker, he's more of a game dunker.

honestly, i believe he isn't a "Dunk Contest Dunker" but the hype he will bring to the contest would be really good, and it will at least get the crowd going. The point is that SOMETHING needs to be done about it. Exactly, This type of dunk contest is NOT good for the NBA, it's boring. The point is that SOMETHING needs to be done about it. Its not a good product as it stands right now. you need BIG NAMES in the dunk contest, regardless of their creativity and what not.
end of story
no one wants to watch a bunch of no name players
