I thought Caron would be a huge addition for the Mavs. They could have easily faced the Thunder (w/ lakers getting the spurs) and probably would have matched up better. The Spurs have heart and George Hill is a player. I give them credit. I am not a Mavs fan, but I am a Dirk Diggler fan. Hoping he has more sucess next year.

Tough game/way for the Thunder to lose, but u have to like how the fans really supported them and kept a convincing ovation to let them know they're ok with the outcome...upset but ok.  Seems like the new kicks Rbk gave him for his award night in ATL jinxed Jamal! Bounced back nicely last night in one of his 82 game broken in pairs...

 The last time Stack sang the national anthem, he was with the then 33-8 Dallas Mavericks in mid-January 2007 and pulled out a big W for the Mavs against the Lakers...He would try to replicate that last night and come up way short in getting the win and closing out the series. Gotta do a little more than sing Jerry to get the Bucks to overachieve this season and move to the 2nd round

 Dude was on fire in the first half...The way I saw that game going I actually thought Milwaukee would've advanced. His time with the playoff tested Pistons back before leaving for international league play really made him effective last night. But that all went out of the door in the 3rd quarter where an 11 point period to the Hawks 29 really put the game out of reach...

 Just like the Hawks and JJ...The Retro 12s in the NT Kicks Bracket are approaching their last few hours to make a case and move on to the next round of their respective playoffs....Good luck to both...

  

 Adjusted very well to KDs defense last night. Loads of credit to Kobe and being a student of the game and knowing what's needed when.

 Just come back with tha same intensity and emotion next year dude...By no means replicate the 76ers last year who battled in the 1st round and then go to crap this year. Build on a story-book year and get better

 You know if this game winning attempt went in by Kobe, it would be another "that again" moment which would probably make the loss a little easier to swallow as we know that play would come...but a tough loss is a tough loss no matter who takes the final shot.

 Sighh...The heartbreaking game winner right here. Nice boxing out by Gasol for sure.

 Much respect to these young guns. Would've been nice to see them force a game 7 or even miraculously oust the champs but my initial prediction of Lakers in 6 held true...but boy would I have loved to be wrong! Nice win for the Lakers though and on to the Jazz

 Another tough loss and elimination handed out last night. Though a 1 point OKC loss is a classic heartbreaker, this is equally tough for this Nugget team with all the expectations circling them this season...How do they bounce back next year...

With 2 particular matchups being decided by only a handful of votes, the bracket has definitely shifted to "Game 7" mode for them, while the other 2 have been basically decided.

This OKC team deserves a whole lotta respect.  They came in to this series being humble and were very respectful to the Lakers, as they put up a very good fight.  Give these guys time to gain more experience and they will develop into a crazy team.

Westbrook/Green/Durant/Ibaka are a great nucleus. They need some length (Kristic and Collison are not going to cut it). I am still not sure if Harden is going to be a consistent player in this league. He's had moments which leads me to believe he will be a great supporting player. I won't go as far as to say they should have instead drafted Evans, Curry and Jennings because that would have taken away from Westbrook's game.

^ They got Mullens on the bench, if he can develop they will have a big man. Harden is a rookie playing on a team with an established 1 through 3 option, he has to just go with the flow of the game for now. As he develops, he'll play a bigger part, especially once his shooting is consistent.

i agree..  he has a horrible voice and says some of the dumbest things i've ever heard..  they only way it could probably get worse is if they let Barkley move from the halftime show where we already get enough crap and stupidness from him..  i could only imagine how bad a whole game would be with him announcing..

Week number 2 is now history and we are now heading full steam ahead into the NT Kicks Playoff "Conference Final"...After another very hard fought week between the shoes in Round 2, the winners have come out heavily bruised after facing some very tight matchups. The updated bracket below:




The statistical results are as follows:

WEST:

(1) Air Zoom Kobe V- 80.7% of voting to (5) Hyperize's- 19.3%. (The Black Mamba winning the battle of the light-weights, leaving the controversial Hyperize in shambles)

(3) KD II- 43.9% of voting to (2) Air Max Lebron 7's- 56.1%. (Without a doubt the toughest battle of the week which ultimately came down to the last few hours of voting! After leading convincingly throughout the entire week, the KD II's lost ground between voting on Friday 30th April and Saturday May 1st. Could the Oklahoma City Thunder's series/season ending loss to the Lakers have had such a dramatic impact on the KD II's popularity? The correlation is up for debate. A great and very anticipated battle now awaits the Air Max Lebron 7)

EAST:

(1) Air Jordan 2010- 75.4% of the voting to (5) Melo M6's- 24.6%. (The 2010's can now peak through the window at the Final on the horizon! But has one more major test before it gets there...)

(3) Air Jordan 16.5- 21.1% of votes to (2) AJ 12 Retro's- 78.9%. (Not shaken by a "younger" opponent the Old School favourite now challenges the lastest monster of the most revered basketball signature line ever...)

Bundy, while I do love these brackets, the kicks seem out of order.

I for one would have the Zoom brave and the Hyperfly face off.

^Honestly, I did have it in a similar format like the original bracket but after a few suggestions to try a cross-brand approach rather than separating them into Brand Conferences, I tried to link them up to work some stuff out. And also it was a little harder to rank these kicks, especially with the newer ones like the Hyperfuse etc, it would probably be too subjective...So the random coupling allowed it a little more leg-room I think...I could be wrong.
If you follow them into potential progressions you can make out some interesting match ups, AJ 2010 vs. KD II, for example as a potential match up, Lebron PSs could possibly go up against the Max Hyperize...a possibility of a AZK 5 and LBJ final....so I think it was built to give some tough match ups from start to finish, rather than having a semi-predicatable one like the original- which was based on a ranked order. But I get you, thanks

.... It's all just a pilot really to see how everyone responds to it as well and maybe next year with input like this, we can make it a better and regular event on NT.
