success makes people ignore and wash over anything. failure makes people scrutinize and walk back everything. giannis clearly has weaknesses but his freakish build and athleticism compensated for it. however, up against a great team over and over... they figured out how to shut it down. he HAS to develop a shot.
this exact thing happened with ben simmons. ridiculous physical specimen and everyone said he doesnt need to learn to shoot cuz he gets to the basket and passes so well. after 2 years of failure nobody believes that anymore and everyone has switched up to he needs a shot.
i just call it as i see out the gate regardless of how theyre doing. not having a shot is unacceptable for any star in the league today. unacceptable. period.

A solid midrange shot would have surely freed up a lot of space for Giannis to move around in the paint, but let the "experts" tell it, it's an unnecessary shot.

They said he "could" play. I am not sure if that means 60, 70 or 80%. I "could" play 4 weeks after my surgery but not how I wanted.

I think it was game 5 in the 4th quarter with only a few minutes to go when Giannis pulled up off the dribble and buried a huge 3 right in gasol's face to keep the Bucks in it. Of course they still lost and it was only 1 shot but the fact that he had the nuts to take and make that shot showed me that he'll be fine
