...or because he's completely **** the bed in this series. The moodiness, negativity, and bizarre delusional quotes are a lot easier to deal with when he balls on the court. Not so much when he shoots 37% from the field and 24% on threes when the team needs him most. He's not the only problem, but he's certainly been one of the biggest. They needed more from their best player, and he's severely underperformed. He can bounce back of course (Lillard was worse in the playoffs last year and look at him now) but right now the criticism is fair. He hasn't backed up his words.

All of this. You can’t say the regular season bores you and then play this badly. Myrie’s my guy but he’s been bad. He wanted to be the focal point and I respect that but this is what comes with the territory.

But I been telling y’all about the Celtics all season. Maybe I’ll dig up my old posts

Myrie’s 37/24/90 splits sure ain’t helping. Granted he can’t do anything about Giannis but he’s been bad this series and that’s not including all the season long shenanigans

No doubt he's played like **** no excusing that, with that said the idea behind this team coming into the season wasn't one that Needed Kyrie to carry them. It was supposed to be their depth & "the best coach in the league" along with all their superior young talent developing etc etc.

I can already see how this thread is going to unfold today

Are we going to ignore that Milwaukee’s double digit win was in a game where Giannis dominated in the paint because Horford, Baynes, and Morris all didn’t play?

In the other two games, the Celts won by 4 and the Bucks won by 1.

There’s no legitimate reason to think this series won’t be close.

Brown and Tatum are role players that played like superstars last year.

Maybe that's Kyrie's fault maybe not

I tried to tell people in here that Tatum, Brown and Rozier were playing absolutely out of their minds during the playoffs last year but people weren’t having it. A lot of people thought Tatum and Brown were gong to be All-Stars as soon as this year.

Man so Boston is gonna try & spin this on solely Kyrie :lol:

It generally seems that way. But people are generally stupid. It's mostly a chemistry issue. A lot of uncertainty about the future with potential moving pieces too. It's not a stable team, and it involves more than just Kyrie. Hayward deserves the slander too. He'd been playing well. You can't just go back to "well the injury" every time he regresses.

Son also supposed to be a star but gets none of the Kyrie flack

Hayward looked like he was finally starting to turn the corner in the last few weeks of the season, but he hasn't been a star since his leg broke. He doesn't get star criticism... because he's not currently a star.

You didn't have to tell anyone anything. We all witnessed it.

Hayward has done that like 5 times this season where he has a stretch of like 3 games where he puts up 15 and people think he's back and then he's trash again. The latest one just so happened to be right before the playoffs but it was easy to see this coming

Man what?

The man is shooting 19/62 (30%) for 61 points since G1. Thats Westbrook stuff.

Not a single #1 option on any of these playoff teams would be getting a pass.

He's had two outstanding games this postseason. His numbers aside from that are godawful
