January 11, 2010 - EA Sports has confirmed earlier reports of a NBA Jam revival exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.
This latest offering is said to feature gameplay that's "true to the original," while sporting new game modes, characters and "gameplay depth."
"NBA JAM is one of the most recognizable franchises in videogame history," said Peter Moore, President, EA Sports. "Diehard fans of the original game have been asking for a remake for more than a decade. We're very excited to give them their wish this year with the return of this iconic franchise."
While no specific release date was given, fans can expect the title to be out this year. Development is being handled by EA Canada in Vancouver. The company announced last week that industry veteran and original NBA JAM creator Mark Turmell was brought in, presumably to help develop the project.

I was in the Nba Jam forum on EA.com and I asked the creators if they were gonna release this game on another system like the 360 or Ps3 and the Mods told mein a round about way no comment and keep looking at the home page. Which means that this will probaly be a timed exclusive for the wii. And will come out whenwe least expect it to.
