if a team with cap space throws money at Ariza and the Lakerswon't re-sign him. I don't know why its so hard to believe that the guy won't leave if the right offer came along.

The writer stated that Hedo had closed the door on Orlando and has narrowed down his choices to Portland, Detroit, and Toronto.

Among the teams Lee expects to pursue Ariza are Detroit, Portland and Toronto.
Detroit, Portland and Toronto are doing good grinding right now, apparently.

Portland didn't offer to Channing Frye to open even more money for them, the names they tossed around last night were Hedo, Andre Miller, and Milsap.

The 2 deals they talked about most were either Hedo, or signing BOTH Miller and Milsap together. No real mention of Lee, and only a couple slight mentions ofHinrich. They remain convinced that Webster can become their Shane Battier, and if they add a decent PG they will be the team to beat.

They got the cap space to do it, and a young nucleus.

Adding Hedo makes them a top 4 team in the west in my opinion.

I love when teams do this. I wish it was my team, but most of the time a team with a young and good nucleus stand pat in hopes that their championship windowwill be there for a long time and that the same players will always be competing on that team.

Why not better your chances when you open the championship window and build on an already solid team.

I promise you guys, they'll screw it up. Oden will bust, and Hedo will be old in a year or two, Rudy will turn into a less good Peja, andthen they're screwed. Look how bad they screwed the pooch on Sergio. They coulda had an all star for that kid 18 months ago. They ended up with aworthless 2nd round pick.

They got that Exile thing around here, just like how he declares each and every Blazer the greatest ever, they do the same with their players and it bites themin the end.

Just heard on ESPN radio that Doug Collins and Avery Johnson are the early front runners for the Detroit HC job.

^ Just wondering...how'd you become a fan of teams from three different cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas?

We can't all be as inside the box as you, man.

You can keep that "I live here so I have no choice but to like the city's teams" noise.

LA has no Football team and MJ made me a bulls fan

Grizzlies $20m
Pistons $18m
Thunder $15m
Kings $12m
Hawks $9m
Blazers $8m

The six teams with the most cap space. With Portland having to extend Roy and Aldridge very soon, they better not do nothing stupid this off-season. ThatDarius Miles signing from the Grizz really put a toll on the amount of space they would have

. Seem as if the Hawks are trying to re-sign Marvin Williams and Zaza accordingto ESPN, leaving Bibby the odd one out.

"Nadja (Switzerland)10:50 AM
What will the hawks do with their cap? where do you see bibby next year? good chat today!!

Chad Ford10:52 AM
I think they re-sign Marvin Williams and Pachulia. I think Bibby and Josh Childress walk. Still hearing they may, in August, make a Josh Smith trade."

Interesting that he mentioned he could be traded in August which is the month Memphis can trade for him since they were the team that offered him the offersheet last summer. I think that's why Hollins said that our main need is a backup PG because a trade could go down between ATL-MEM in August. Just thinkingabout it, doesn't mean its true though. Don't be surprised if Memphis lay low in July though because they might still be looking to get Josh Smith, while Atlanta looks to have a little more cap space.

That might also be the reason Memphis drafted Carroll and gave him a promise at 27, because it could be a player Atlanta wants.
