Those intros and montages that lead into the theme were the BEST. They take the broadcast of the game to another level, like a true event ratherthan a simple game being crammed into a time slot. (ESPN just rushes from one game to another without these, without building up, another reason why theircoverage is so lacking)Originally Posted by Hoosier Bad Boy 11

That's because nobody in the league hates each other anymore. There are no rivalries to the extent of what existed in the '80s and'90s. Bill Simmons made a good point last week in a BS Report that the AAU circuit has ruined all rivalries in basketball. Everyone knows each other andthey're all friends. They play each other on the court, and then instead of walking off like they always used to, they go and hug each other like they hadjust played a friendly game at the local community center. The NBC intros for Bulls-Knicks games in the mid-90s made it seem like world War III was going tobreak out out in the Garden. Now it's all friendly "rematches" where everyone hugs each other at the end of the day. The NBA is full of sissies, and run by the biggest @%%* of all.Originally Posted by SenorRoboto2k5

I could watch the ones from Bulls playoff games on Youtube all day. TNT has these intros but they're not nearly as hype.
