NES Classic Mini re-releasing 6/29/18 retail $60

Resellers galore with anything limited supplies that has a demand nowadays. Everyone is hustlin for the paper, the product of capitalism. :pimp:

The online market has made the reselling game way easy that even kids can make a quick buck. That's why you see these youngins who got nothing to do, camping out on these kind of ****. It's whack, but that's the world that we live in right now.

Then what was the whole limited release Jordan's "not everyone is supposed to get one" rhetoric about? Nintendo doesn't have to hold anyone's hand, but why can't everyone who wants one to legit use, get one? I just want to walk in Best Buy the day or week of release and walk out with one.
That's my point

Nintendo has made it very clear from the jump with both the NES & SNES Classic that these are LIMITED items and will not be mass produced and yet people still get upset and are dumbfounded when they can't cop one like they had no idea it'd be this hard

You and everyone else. That's the reason you can't do it. Regardless of if people were buying to resale or not you wouldn't be able to do that because these are so in demand, just like iPhones or other non limited consoles on release. Reasons are because production is not at a level where that is possible and Nintendo isn't going to change that

Which makes the eBay scumbaggery that much worse. I'm not about to lay on a sidewalk outside Best Buy for 12 hours for a chance to get one.

Yeah all of these games are available for free everywhere on the internet. I don't wanna play them on my laptop screen though. I wanna sit on my couch (or floor :lol) and play them on my TV with a real controller like back in the day as a kid. I'm as computer savvy as anyone (and I own/play a RetroPie frequently) but nothing will come close to the convenience of this SNES Classic. That's the main selling point for me.

Then you must not want one that bad

I'm with you on that. I have my desktop computer hooked up to an HDTV. I bought a couple USB Saturn controllers off eBay years ago when they were cheap and before the Japan sellers caught on and started upcharging. I've tried everything. Emulators, clone consoles, and getting component cables and converter boxes for my old consoles.

The NES Classic and SNES Classic is exactly what a lot of people wanted for years. Hopefully everyone who wants one gets a SNES Classic.

Serious talk: understand where you're coming from, I also missed out on the NES Classic multi times and was totally turned off by the whole process. Not even a serious gamer, but just wanted the nostalgia. Flood is saying what you want and what actually is are different.

Nintendo is never going to meet demand so be prepared and come up with some tough nonconventional methods to cop. Really have to treat these like hyped sneakers. Team up with like minds so guys can share info.

Did that this time and happened to luck out with multis for Family. Good luck on The Hunt.

I'm saying that there are very easy means to guarantee yourself a console but if you're going with the "I'm too good to campout" or "I don't have time to campout" copout route then you're not trying as hard as you could be to get one

How is that not a good argument for producing enough consoles? If you have to sleep outside of Best Buy or pay double retail (or more) off eBay, why blame the consumer for not wanting to deal with that nonsense just to get an $80 machine?

My whole point is that there should be no pointing fingers at anyone in situations like this

It's not fair to be upset with Nintendo when they told what was up from the jump & some could say it's also not fair for Nintendo to not meet demand but that's just peoples sense of entitlement talking

Despite the stock numbers there are ways to lock down a console without of pre-order on release day and it basically comes down to how bad you want it

I'm not saying you should have to campout for anything or that I'm cool with it myself but I understand how this thing works. If someone refuses to campout when thats the only means left to secure a console, then you obviously don't want the thing as bad as the dude that is camping out

Whatever man. We're all just trying to buy the same thing. I want everyone who wants one to be able to get one without having to get their Bear Grylls on.

When the Switch sells out, they eventually produce more to keep up with demand. When the NES Classic sold out, that was it. They could easily keep selling these and keep making money.

You're still not getting and probably are just to stubborn too get it at this point

Nintendo knows very good and well that they didn't make enough of the NES Classic and probably aren't going to make enough of the SNES Classic to meet demand but that's literally the point

They don't care nor should they care about meeting demand with a product like this, it's meant as a collectible item more so than a console and it keeps Nintendos name in all of our mouths until the new year more so than it'd be without it

They mass produce the Switch because that's their current mainstay console obviously and they want everyone to buy one. We're lucky they made a SNES Classic to begin with

They also make said item more in demand by producing in limited quantities. Hype sells (and when they come out with their next retro product it'll keep escalating) literally Supreme and Nike before made a killing on this business model.

That's where you have to take up issue with Nintendo though

My theory is they make these consoles limited and then capitalize on the virtual console concept by having people pay for their newest console and then pay per title on said console

Nah I think Nintendo 100% knows they're capitalizing on nostalgia and not the games themselves

The VC has always done well sales wise and I can't see someone buying VC because they missed out on the mini console because the only selling point with these is that they're tiny and look exactly like their counterparts

I'm saying though. If that's the justification, then that's not good. "It's supposed to be hard to get by design." "You have to camp out or buy it off someone else for double where Nintendo sees none of the profit."

If I find it's easy to get more than one in my area and someone can't get one, I'm gonna help people out on here. No resell, just shipping and retail.

star fox 2 is trash btw

it's a reason it didn't release in the us
1. Star Fox 2 has never been released anywhere in the world

2. It didn't release because the launch date of it was too close to the launch of the N64 and Nintendo didn't want people still focused on the SNES with the N64 on the market

yeah I forgot the backstory but I remember that now but the game is garbage

unless they change it for the classic which I doubt
