New Macbooks and Macbook Pros coming out soon?

okay..let me get this straight..
is this supposed to be an update for the macbook or the macbook pros line?
 
They just updated the MacBook (The Santa Rosa chipset) in October so for them to see another upgrade is unlikely. The MacBook Pro however could maybe use a newchassis design. It's been the same for almost 2 years now and people are getting kind of tired of it. The only talks have been about a cross of a MacbookPro and a MacBook which is suppose to be ultra portable which would probably also have a Santa Rosa chipset. The mobile Penryn chipset is suppose to come outthe 2nd half of 2008 but some people suspect it could happen early than that. Maybe in MacWorld? I am more concerned of the new Mac Pro everyone is talkingabout.
 
im in the market for a macbook (black) that is why i am asking. I don't know if i want the portable macbook if it doesnt have a cd drive..
 
Just read an article last week in the WSJ on Apple rumors. They're often unfounded, but there a few w/ legit inside sources. Apple recently settled w/ anIvy League student to stop leaking rumors. They paid him well supposedly.
