I know the team has been disappointing this year to say the least, but I will be heading to CitiField for the first time next Sunday for K-Rod Bobblehead day.Pretty excited to see the new stadium.

Figgy pitched welll again, wish the Mets held on to the game on Friday though.

Offense is feast or famine as Keith said.

Just got in. They won? Good.

Maybe we can go on a little tear and capture that wildcard.

lol I wish! I'll be happy if they even hit .500 by the end of the season. At least Wright is coming back though.

i will happily donate my concord xi's to the salvation army if they pull a 2007 colorado rockies and win 25 of their next 26 games.

ill be happy with a .500 season or just with them ending the season on a strong note.

they won today though

I admit, with 31 games left, it would be damn near impossible to pull any sort of magic off.

But it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

With Dave coming back, if the team could go on a little streak (say 6 out of 7), it would maybe convince brass to throw Beltran back in the mix. Then Delgado.

And with those 3 back in the lineup, the rest of the team would have a bit of confidence to pick up some slack.

We don't do a damn thing w/o Johan though. So all my fantasizing is pretty much worthless.

Good start to today's game so far. Too bad for Pagan's dumb running error, we could have got 1 extra run.

And good to see Wright got a hit on his first pitch. And damn dude's helmet is huge tonight lmao!

Please don't tell me he'll be wearing that for the rest of his career though.
As of next yr Minor Leaguers will be mandated to wear these helmets which may lead to all Major Leaguers in the future.

This was turning out to be such a good game too.

Redding actually rebounded from early trouble and pitched well for once.

Too bad we let a washed up Jason Giambi beat us.

Murphy's gonna bat .300 for us next year. He'll be much better when he doesn't have to worry about carrying this team. Same with Pelfrey.
We need to sign a pitcher next year. And I don't want to go the Type A route since we're going to have a nice draft pick, maybe we could get Sheets toagree to a 1 year deal with options and incentives.

I could see myself liking this kid. He looks really likable.

I'm bored so looking forward to next year's staff:

Santana
Sheets?
Pelfrey
Niese
Maine/Perez

If everybody plays to their potential, that's not a terrible staff. But, who am I kidding.

Maine is good but you can't rely on him, and Ollie is a waste of air.

pelf would make a solid # 3 starter even though he's had a very up and down season.

Neise to me has more potential to be very good, I hope he can make the team......we need a TRUE complimentary # 2 starter though and a #3 or 4.
