For a comic book fan, you really have no imagination. If they use a new actor for Batman, you really can't separate him from Bale? You won't be able to comprehend that it is a new Batman and that his characteristics are the one we know from the comic? You can't see how Lois can fit int he film when the story is wide open right now? Really? We have no plot or anything and you can't picture Lois in the film? Then again you couldn't imagine how Bats could help Superman so I am not surprised you can't see any other possibilities with other characters.
And yes Lois is confirmed to be back and FIshburne and Lane.
I'm glad you've been following my posts to know I've been crying about everything. How about hopping off my **** for a minute and remove whatever attachment you have for the Superman seties and look at it from a non biased viewpoint. Beyond the issue of Superman not being Superman, critics killed the movie as well as a number of people on social networking sites. Are they crying too? The movie had no focus. It was literally all over the place. Superman Returns was more cohesive than Hack Snyder's vision. Returns would easily be the better film if it had a better script.
All I'm saying is by 2015 we'll only be 3 years removed from Nolan's batman trilogy and seeing how it is ranked so highly amongst people as THE best comic book film I don't think it's a wise choice for WB/DC to completely abandon that world Nolan created. Yes batman is already established but the fact that they're throwing him in a movie with superman when it was never alluded to in MoS, throwing together a script that was probably just started yesterday and saying we have to cast a batman is almost a slap in the face. DC is basically saying, "we can make avengers money too! See look its batman and superman together!" Where was the anticipation? There not even using an established batman so I'm assuming we'll get the "world's greatest detective" batman who should definitely be useful to superman
I don't get why DC is rushing their whole comic crossover film. They should use the time to flesh their characters out more. More movie Easter eggs to build up anticipation. Marvel clearly is on a roll so I don't get why DC doesn't stay in their own lane till they can get a legit reason for these guys to team up.
And the reason I say I can't see Lois in the film is because of her character in the first MoS. It was already a kinda underdeveloped character in the film but it was still enough to give her character a purpose. How do you split camera time between superman and batman and still have time to develop a romance on film cause I know damn well Lois is not helping em fight....I guess Snyder will show us
Meanwhile the Guardian of the Galaxy looks like Star Wars mixed with sex
Joss Whedon Says THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Will Be An Origin Story; Confirms No Hank Pym
Joss Whedon confirms that the movie shares only a title with the comic book event, and will instead be a totally original story. However, it WON'T feature Hank Pym and it sounds as if he will be a creation of Iron Man's! Hawkeye is also set to have a much larger role in the "global" sequel. Read on for details!
Marvel caught up with Joss Whedon (what follows is my own transcription of their conversation as it has yet to be released officially after airing just moments ago on their live blog) at the San Diego Comic-Con to talk all things The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Surprisingly, the writer and director revealed a lot more than any of us may have expected! After saying that he always wanted to use Ultron as the villain in a sequel, Whedon would go on to clear up some misconceptions that the title has caused.
"Well, because there was a book called 'Age of Ultron' quite recently, a lot of people have assumed that is what we're doing, but that is not the case. We're doing our own version of the origin story for Ultron. In the origin story, there was Hank Pym, so a lot of people assumed that he will be in the mix. He's not. We're basically taking the things from the comics for the movies that we need and can use. A lot of stuff has to fall by the wayside."
So, if Hank Pym doesn't create Ultron, who does? Well, Tony Stark seems to be the most obvious candidate, especially after Iron Man 3 showed that he had managed to create sentient versions of his armour.
"We're crafting our own version of it where his origin comes more directly from The Avengers we already know about. It's a little bit darker than the other film because Ultron is in the house. There's a science fiction theme that wasn't there in the other one. Ultron is definitely something that evolves, so we're going to get together a couple of different iterations. Nothing can be translated exactly as it was from the comics; particularly Ultron."
Finally, he was asked about the scale of the movie and which character he is most enjoying writing and revealed:
"It's very much a global Avengers film. A lot of the movie has to do with their place not just in America, but the world. Part of the fun for me, definitely this time around, is writing Hawkeye. He did get possessed pretty early by a bad guy and had to walk around all scowly for most of the movie so now it's nice to actually have the character there and see him interact with the other guys."
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Is The Most Important Lead-In For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
Brothers and co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo discuss their upcoming film, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" with the Huffington Post and state that the events of their film are the most important in terms of heading into "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Said Joe Russo, "There's a very strong connection in the narrative between the events of the end of "Avengers" that drive this film -- and there's a very strong hand off to "Avengers 2" at the end of this movie. And Kevin Feige's whole thing is that this is the biggest bridge of all of Phase 2 movies; it really is. It does involve the most amount of Avengers of any of the films in Phase 2, and it has sort of a, you know, there's a very big shift in the universe at the end of this movie."
An interesting development/revelation. In terms of headcount, the film boasts the most number of Avengers team members in Captain America, Falcon and Black Widow. And who knows where the Winter Soldier's loyalties may lie by the time the film's closing credits roll.
Kevin Feige On Vin Diesel Meeting, "There's Nothing To Announce With Vin
"Well, here's what I will tell you about Vin. And I'll be very honest with you. We did a press day on the "Captain America" set last week or something. The very first question was, "So how did the meeting with Vin Diesel go?" I went, "Here's the funny thing, it hasn't happened yet. It happens at 3 p.m. today." And they went, "Oh, really?" And it did and he came by and met. So, I'll say two things: One, there's nothing to announce with Vin. Vin is an amazing guy and an amazing personality."
Feige also says that no announcements will be made about Vin's role at Disney's upcoming D23 Expo next month. When specifically asked, Feige replied, "No. It's so far ahead it may not even exist. So, there's nothing to announce. But, I love Vin and he's an amazing personality. Look how much attention he's gotten for a meeting. He's incredibly shrewd. He's got a Riddick movie that I can't wait to see. And the "Fast & Furious" franchise, in addition to Vin, is a franchise I admire a lot for turning the sixth and next year the seventh into the biggest and most popular one. As far as a piece of it? Could someday we do a "Luke Cage: Hero for Hire" in that kind of vein. Totally."
DC has to move on, it is not a rush, it is just the next phase. People are too stuck with Nolans Batverse but there is nothing else into that, they can't milk that cow anymore. It is over, it is done, people need to move. W/o Nolan, any films afterwards will just disappoint in that world plus no other heroes could exist in that universe. So yes this is what DC is doing, moving on. They have been saying all along that MoS is a way to open up the world for other heroes/villains to exist so accept that.
And why can't you imagine Lois int he film? It makes no sense to me. Helping them fight doesn't mean she has to be in the front line. So what if she was underdeveloped? Why would that prevent you from thinking of a way to incorporate her in the film?
How are they going to split screen time between Batman and Superman? How did Whedon do it with the Avengers? How did Singer do it with the XMen? How did Vaughn do it in 1st Class? This isn't the first time an ensemble team has been attempted, it has been done and done successfully at that. And this is just between two people in this film, both with established backgrounds and origins.
As for GotG, you haven't seen a single footage, just a very vague description of what they showed and it already looks like "Star Wars mixed with sex"? Yet you can't imagine a scenario where Batman would help Superman and how to fit Lois in the next film? Marvel fanboy at it's finest folks.
The fact of the matter is DC is doing this as a response to marvel. They've never been this adamant about bridging together a cinematic universe til marvel started theirs. I can accept that they're going about it their own way but they're just doing too much too soon

As a comic book fan, I'm pleased as punch about all this news. I just hope every movie gives me that dark knight level of enjoyment. I literally jumped up and down screaming yes at the World's Finest announcement. GotG sounds great so far. Just hope these movies are great.
Good theory. I didn't even think of that. The Ultron origin can definitely work this way. But it's just weird without Pym. I mean, when we finally see the Ant Man film, shouldn't his creation of Ultron be one the major accomplishments that is associated with his character? Maybe Whedon is throwing a smoke screen?WoW. I guess Ultron might evolve from Jarvis? Makes sense with all the suits in IM3.
