News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

At the very least I expect superior stories in these 4 netflix joints and that's what has me hopeful.

I look forward to Iron Fist the most cuz that's the one that has the most potential for greatness. I love all 4 but to me a Luke Cage solo is the only one got me a bit unsure, I can see the Jessica Jones one do well just cuz of what Bendis did with her. DD is DD, hard to screw that up if they're making a real effort.

The Defenders crossover can be something great all by itself. I think Netflix was the right choice for this most especially. Network tv wouldn't do this well and I'm not sure any cable network would make such a commitment.

SW VII release date finally announced.

With pre-production in full-swing, a confirmed release date of December 18, 2015, has been set for Lucasfilm's highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII.

"We're very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture," said Alan Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.

Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams (Super 8, Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek) and is being scripted by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, with Tommy Harper (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Jack Ryan, Star Trek Into Darkness) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds) serving as executive producers. John Williams is returning to score Star Wars: Episode VII.

Shooting is scheduled to begin spring 2014 at Pinewood Studios.

Looks like another Marvel TV Show is on it's way to ABC...

Why Disney went with Netflix when they're a part owner of Hulu.
"We actually talked about making these series available to others. And there was quite a bit of interest for these properties in the marketplace. The answer is yes, we will as a company, create more original programming for platforms that are not ours. We have some great networks with ABC, ABC Family, The Disney Channel, not to mention ESPN and Life but they're not going to buy original, scripted programming for a while. But we can sell just so much programming from Marvel, we've got a good show in S.H.I.E.L.D. and another one being developed for ABC- more plans on our Disney channel with Marvel, but this seemed to be a great opportunity and I think there will be other opportunities on other platforms to do some more things."

Despite...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. still hasn't levelled off, hitting an all-time low for its fifth instalment yesterday. After taking a one week break, it returned to 7.2 million (2.5), dipping two tenths in the demo, or as TV Line puts it, "its fifth consecutive decline." We're only six episodes in, so it's perfectly possible that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will eventually find its footing and maintain the sort of numbers which will mean it returns for a second season. If it continues to decline like this though, Marvel's first live-action TV venture could also be its first major failure.

I don't see those numbers going up. The 18-40 ratings have also dropped week after week. It'll be axed after this season. Casual fans were lured in by the thought that it would feature people from the movies. Doesn't help that the show isn't good.

just seen Thor. ive never been to a "night before official release" debut to a movie. and since its a thursday night i didnt expect anybody to be there

theatre wasnt to capacity but it was packed.

it was very good. the surprise cameo had the theatre crackin up.

the climactic battle was good. not great. the cool thing about the final battle was that it was "all over the place" and idont mean that in a Man of Steel kinda way

loki...........wow the scenes with him in his cell were cool. we all seen the trailer of him sittin in his cell all messed up and messy but the movie actually gives it context as to WHY he's like that

malekith was a wack villian. i say he was wack just cuz he seemed very "insert villian who wants to destroy everything" as opposed to loki

i understand villians who want control of everything, but i never understood villians who want to DESTROY everything. what do they plan to do after they destroyed everything

two after credit scenes....... ol' boy seems like hed be chillin with Chris Tuckers character from the 5th Element

also, im glad they didnt forget about that big blue monster lol

i liked it better than CapAm, iHULK, and OG Thor, Iron Man 2,3

Try to post on the Thor 2 thread because some things might get spoiled here and some will be pissed. :lol AT least there, they have no excuse since the film is already out so they should know to just stay away if they do not want spoilers.

I been hearing it might be an Agent Carter show set after WW2 and probably dealing with the Cold War and other Marvel stuff. The 50s is pretty open to do w/e they want story wise and technically the 60s too given the sliding timescale in the comics.

Should've kept the scene in. Unfortunately, DofP is set up so that he wouldn't even be wearing the mask and costume much in it anyway.

Hopefully, in The Wolverine 2

I can't even comprehend what I just saw with Thor 2. That movie is beyond amazing. Loki the trickster god :smokin

Like it.

So...it looks like there won't be a mask in DoFP. lol.
