Strong test screenings have Marvel moving fast to attach the helming duo.

Early word on Captain America: The Winter Soldier is strong, so much so in fact that reports are emerging that Marvel is moving to bring that film’s directing duo of Anthony and Joe Russo back for Captain America 3.
According to Variety, while Cap 3 has not been officially green lit -- and negotiations won’t actually begin until after Winter Soldier comes out in April -- “Marvel has been so impressed with the production of Winter Soldier, as well as with strong results from recent test screenings, that the studio has moved fast to attach the brothers to the next installment.”
This is the first we’re really hearing about a third Cap film, even though we’ve always assumed that the First Avenger would get a trilogy just like Tony Stark before him.
There’s no word yet on what the film will be called or what it will be about -- a writer and release date are still to be determined -- but the trade says that Marvel and the Russos are already putting together an outline. And besides, you just know Kevin Feige has the whole thing in his head already anyway!
Chris Evans still has several films to go on his Marvel contract, so we can assume he’ll be back… unless something crazy happens to Cap in Winter Soldier.
The Russos come from TV, where they’ve helmed a bunch of Community episodes among many other shows. They replaced Joe Johnston -- who directed the first Cap movie -- for Winter Soldier.
