People get photoshopped like this all the time. Especially on all those teeny magazines (seventeen, teen vogue, etc). This is tame by just about every standard.

This I don't approve of. Two opposite sexed characters in a film working together, therefore they must be lovers.

And yes, waist of a barbie and I am not sure what your point is, that it is made for little girls because that was exactly the point. They tried to make her as sexy as possible (slim down the waist and make the boobs bigger) and this is supposed to be "quintessential" strong superhero woman that everyone is saying DC should copy and little girls could look up to but again she is shopped to look like Barbie. Read up on the controversy about Barbies figures effect on little girls and how it promotes unhealthy obsession with being skinny, etc... and this is Disney who mostly caters to kids as you pointed out but I digress.

In the end, she is still paraded as a sex symbol and in posters she is photoshopped to look like an unrealistic figure yet a little cleavage on Olsen or putting her in a similar skin tight suit is out of the question?

I'm totally down for a Black Widow movie. It would suck if it took away from a Strange or BP film but I'd understand them wanting to be first with a great female lead solo movie just to once again put DC/WB in their shadow. I'd prefer they stretch things to 3 films a year but I know that's a budget/risk thing. BW has all the potential to make a great movie, I've said it before; female James Bond, super powered spies, facing down terrorist organizations in a big action packed flick. They get that right and they'll be set for a while.


I'm not aware of much sexual tension with BW and Cap in the comics other than alt universe stuff which don't really count. Going off canon you'd sooner get stuff with her and Hawkeye or Daredevil or Tony Stark. Cap mainly bangs Sharon Carter and had that one time with the Scarlet Witch. So I don't really see them becoming lovers.

I know. But this is the same industry that has like 2 black heroes. There are some things best left in the past.
Like I said if they can skip the whole saga where Tony Stark is his own body guard they can just as easily skip this.

You said it's tamed when it really isn't and it's PSed to enhance the body to unrealistic Barbie-like proportions. Hell if you watch any Disney channel shows, the sequel innuendos are almost always off the charts just behind to Nickelodeon.


And Superman and Thor pics aren't photoshopped to look like a Dragonball cartoon and their figures doesn't really promote working out til you are as ripped as them, parent probably wishes that's what it promoted and then we'd have a lot less obese kids. With girls, it promotes anorexia and being way too skinny.
