News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Let's see how Guardians handles the cosmic side of things. I'm expecting a Richard Rider appearance as well...

I am not into Nova. Most I know about them comes for Guardians Vol 2. But Nova Prime is Glenn Close (I thought Nova Prime was a status not a person) and there have been a few Novas spotted on set

Not a big fan of the Nova costumes but not really bad to where I have to complain.

Read up on Nova Corps, an intergalactic military organization, Nova Prime is a ranking which also comes with powers from the Nova Force.

but why is Glen Close Nova Prime?

The only thing that i thnk about when i think of Glen Close is Cruella Daville and Micheal Douglas spashing water on her boobies before sucking on them in that movie whos name i cant remember.

For those unaware the Nova corps is basically exactly like the Green Lantern corps but instead of rings they have helmets/suits.

Yeah Nova Prime is just a ranking (top one).

The nova uniforms don't look that good so I don't expect that much importance from them. Probably be the equivalent of red shirts.

As for Adam Warlock, that'd be interesting but I don't know how they would streamline his origin. It is a bit complicated and convoluted. So they could just change it and make him another cosmic type being.

So I was right. Nova prime is a status. Don't get why her name is Nova Prime unless I read it wrong.

I feel like the costumes are ill fitting because they didnt want to train the novas to be physically fit.

As for Warlock they don't need to show everyone's origin. Black Widow and Hawkeye's origins are unknown.

They're referred to by their status though. What else they calling her by? Do you address the General of the army by General/Sir or by Bob?

Adam Warlock ends up being pretty tied to Thanos. He'd need an origin. He isn't on the level of ppl like Hawkeye and Widow. He's well above them. Also Hawkeye is a lame human, nobody cares about his origin. BW in the other hand has at least had rumors for a solo movie.

I just find a little kid having a recurring role weird unless Bruce just keeps constantly being threatened or kidnapped for being uber rich, which would get old quick or just change his origins if he keeps getting exposed to villains whether it is before or after his parents gets killed.

re watching a couple smallville episodes i found it kind of gross a middle 20's lex was hanging out with high schoolers and banging lana :lol

^
I think lana was at least 20 when lex was in her guts. Still not as creepy as all those vampire shows and movies where 200 year old vampires stalk 15-16 year olds. It's like approved fictional pedophilia that have underage girls as fans.

But you know General Ross's name.

If we are talking about popularity I dont think Warlock was above BW at any point in time. Only if we are talking about awesomeness.

That's after the character is introduced in story that you know they're real name. When random lower ranking officer is talking to another one aint no guarantee they're using the last names. It's the same way when ppl refer to the president. They're not always saying Obama, sometimes it's POTUS.

I'm not talking about popularity so no BW isn't above Warlock.

Wow. I finally realized why people kept calling Michelle, FLOTUS. I thought it was her nickname in college or her poet name or something. Never really thought about it.

But these casual audiences care more about popularity than anything. Marvel doesnt know how popular Warlock will be with audiences. So no need for his backstory. There are lots of good characters in the MCU where they never delved into the backstory.

I'm not talking about casual audiences or popularity though.

When I addressed Warlock being in the movie and his origin and how they'd handle that it had nothing to do with what you're talking about now, which is irrelevant.

Any "good" character without a back story in the MCU is either a villain or a secondary good guy a.k.a. not that important and probably there for more than just being the hero i.e. token negro, token female, token human, etc.

I had to do some quick research to understand what I was looking at in that pic. Makes sense, considering...

^The concept of Nova Corps is simple. Since I only know Nova from Guardians and the current Nova comics when people talk so fondly of Richard Rider I just don't understand where they are coming from.

But anyway kinda late but I forgot to nominate Chiwetel Ejiofor for the role of Black Panther. He is Nigerian, so he got the African looks and raised by Nigerian parents so he can likely get the accent down (after all he fakes an American accent well).

^I agree. I think we would do great. All we need is a good writer and a good director. Don't half *** it Marvel

Considering both Marvel/Disney and director James Gunn felt a thirty-second preview during this month's Super Bowl wouldn't do justice to the very first visuals from Guardians of the Galaxy, it was assumed that the first trailer would at least arrive next month, closer to the international release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. However, today the Alberta Film Ratings has revealed the teaser trailer is coming sooner than we thought. Coming in at 2 minutes and 23 seconds, the teaser trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy should debut next week, if not sooner. Therefore, expect some promotional efforts very soon, maybe during the Sochi Winter Olympics.

also how would a 30 second commercial not be sufficient enough to give us a url to the actual trailer, like everyone else did.

im guessing the issue is that most people dont know **** about the Guardians.

1st impressions are important.

look @ Transformers...they 4 movies in and they gave no dambs at all about what they put in their trailer

But what are people talking about now? The 30 second trailers or the couple minute ones the urls sent us to. The marvel logo at the end of the film wouldve been enough to arouse curiosity

It's just the directors vision/preference, if he feels it'll look and feel cheap doing short teasers then that's his prerogative. If he wants to just blow peoples mind away with one big trailer then it's all good. No need to over analyze everything.
