Way to go Mallett

You gotta take Julio. Aj might be more of a natural catcher but overall Julio has the physical gifts. When you draft you gotta take someone who has a lot of everything instead of master of one thing. Julio has a better learning curve than AJ

Julio = T.O./Anquan Boldin

AJ = Randy without the speed but a better routerunner.

& that's exactly where the mistake is. Taking 1 over the other due to "Physical Gifts"
The combine reminded me of when they were both coming out of HS. Just about every recruiting service had Julio rated over AJ, & I always chalked it up to Julio being such a physical freak, even coming out of HS.

When you size up their playing on the field, that's where you see who the better player is. Julio is the better athlete(not by much) & that's the way it has always been, IMO, but he's NEVER been the better player, nor will he ever be. IMO, of course. You take Julio over AJ, it'll be a huge mistake. Although I think both will be premiere receivers in the league, I just believe AJ will be marginally better.

@ this logic.

Forget your physical gifts, comparisons, and measurements.

AJ is just flat out BETTER. He's just a better WR. It's that simple. Sometimes you have to just throw all that other stuff out the window....running a faster 40 and jumping a longer distance doesn't make a player better than another on the football field.

How does Julio = TO or Quan? Neither of them even ran a 4.3 in their lives.

TO and Quan's hands arent the best but like them Julio is a physical receiver who can be a valuable possesion receiver early. Julio doesnt run a 4.3 on the field either

AJ has better hands but Julio can go through the middle without getting folded and as we saw at Bama can be a deep threat on occasions.

Im not sold that Aj is a better overall reciever was he the ONLY reciever Georgia had? Yes. Was he the premier player on that offense? Yes.

Julio shined on a good team.

I understand yall falling for the hype tho

They are both good but AJ Green is just a "natural" and Julio is more of a an athlete playing WR. They both can be successful but I rather have the natural. If Julio had AJ's measurables he would probably be a bum.

Its really preference. If your coaching staff thinks they can refine Julio by all means I cannot argue anyone taking him. If you think Julio's deficiencies are not correctable ( I dont think they are) you have to go with AJ 10/10 times.

what other WR did Bama have?
shouldnt Julio have dominated on the perimeter?

I'd take UGAs core of wrs & tes over Bamas every day

hype? u sound stupid.

run thru the game films and tell me whos more "hype"

the guy who did numbers on the field against the exact same caliber of competition or the guy who did numbers at the combine.

and btw your opinions are null and void since theyre all alabama centered.

& I can easily flip that logic & say, wouldn't a player benefit more from being on a "good team"?
AJ played every year with a different QB, none of whom were worth *$@@, maybe except Stafford(wasn't a big fan of his at UGA)

I can also say Julio benefited from an exceptional running game & other perimeter threats.

& since AJ was practically UGA's only threat his last 2 season, wouldn't it be easier for teams to pinpoint him & only him, & shut him down?

Not saying that what I'm saying is the case, but it's kind of stupid to give AJ credit for playing on a $+$%%# team & making Julio's numbers & performance seem underwhelming only because he played on a superior team with more threats. Both situations can be beneficial to a player, but it's not the difference between the two. If you, or anyone truly believes that Julio is the better player than AJ, then I'm convinced you base it strictly off measurables, which like I said before, Julio was the superior of the 2 in that department even coming out of HS. That didn't allow him to outperform Green while they were in College. & it damn sure won't allow him to do it in the Pros.

Green >> Jones ; & honestly, it isn't even close IMO.
